I was lucky enough to have some tickets for the game come my way and I just wanted to initiate the smack talk with Sly!
It was deplorable what Chad Johnson did with his terrible towel as a bib. Too bad Ike Taylor will shut him down tomorrow - like he did the last time (except for a 60 yard catch when the game was decided).
Final Score: Pit 24 Cin 10

cinci's offense is slightly less than indy's...
i see a much closer game...20/17 cinci....
the steelers offense is sputtering the last few weeks and cinci's defense is pretty solid...

Actually, Cincy d is 24th against the run. Look for the Steelers to get on track on the ground and grind out the game.

no doubt! cincy will be shown as a fraud again. i look for willie parker and duce to get it rolling again, and if big ben just manages the games well, the steelers will win, and keep chad johnson's piehole shut!

so much for the run game....
rothliensnofrieswiththatburger playd catchup most of the game and looked like turd favre out there...slinging either tds or picks...
both defenses played kind of crappy
those to's were pitts demise...they would of won this game if not for them...

Even when I was a kid in Ohio and the Bengals would only win 3-4 games a year, we would always beat or scare the daylights out of the Steel Curtain. Not much has changed exceopt that they're beating other teams now as well.

LUCONN - How do you feel about Who Dey against the Stillers?

|
|
Post by LUconn on Jan 3, 2006 11:50:26 GMT -5
Well, I have to say, it's exactly what I didn't want to happen. Not that I don't think we can win, but inter-divisional games can just go either way no matter who's better than whom.

Chad's going to have to invent something really special for his postgame celebration.

no celebrations this sunday! the steeler D is playing much better now and the running game is certainly showing signs of life. cincy was not played well the past few weeks and the lack of playoff experience will show. it will be a close one, but the steelers will win. then it's on to indy.....

As the Stillers learned from last year - the playoffs is about peaking at the right time. Nothing against Cincy, but I wouldnt want to go into the playoffs with two consecutive losses - the last being a blowout. Carson is also hurting which doesnt help. All of that plus the lack of playoff experience will show. I really like the Stillers in that game - and not just because I am a homer.
As far as Indy - same scenario. They have played horrible the last couple of weeks, and are coming into the playoffs with a limp. We (or if not us, the lowest seed to survive) get past Cincy and I like their chance for an AFC Championship Game birth.

You guys aren't pretending that the Bengals who were on the field the past two weeks are the same ones who will lined up across from the Steelers, are you? They wisely rested starters to try and get some guys healthy. They'll be fine Sunday.

The Eagles had 3 or 4, I can't remember, losses heading into the playoffs plus a bye week. I think they did alright for themselves. Carson looked great this past Sunday for those series where he played. The NFL's leader in INTs didn't play Sunday. The Bills showing was poor, I'll give you that. They had something to play for and just came out flat. Deltha will be back, Chris Perry is back, Carson will show. Sure they don't have playoff experience I don't see how that affects their play one way or the other. They'll be fine.

The Bengals weren't exactly brimming with playoff experience in their two prior trips to the Super Bowl.

I like the enthusiasm of Sly and LUConn, but with Sly's prediction of a fantabulous year for Houston and the confusing handle of LUConn - I have to say Stillers in a close one. This is the Stillers year - Super Bowl baby!

i would not say super bowl, but i would love to see the bus get a ring. i do feel strong about beating cincy. theya re a good team and deserving of the talk, but the steeler D will be ready. and as far as my boy medic's comments....another bitter philly fan ;D

I love that he is running. You cant go wrong with a conservative republican after fast eddie. Sad thing is Pittsburgh is 99.9% democrat because of the legacy of big steel and unions. Swann wont even win his back yard. Mike Fisher (whose campaign manager was none other than Liberty Alum Jeff Coleman) didnt even win Pittsburgh - and he was a native!

Rendell makes me crazy, another social-agenda promoting liberal- usually at the expense of everyone NOT living in the 3 urban centers of Philly, Pittsburg or Allentown area.
