come 'on ATRAIN- take off the skirt and get in there. Put a hard hat on, a "press" pass and walk in w/ you camera. Tell them you're shooting for the N&A or Charlotte Observer or whatever. Do we old hags gotta teach you EVERYTHING?
(not that I'm advocating outright LYING- attempt to sell the photos to SI or ESPN the Mag and you can call yourself a "free-lance" photog.)

Two things: go to www.luhockeyalumni.com, for the most updated pics on the rink. Click on the LaHaye Ice Center 4 on the left. The comment on playing better teams. Two things, you have to play the teams in your conference, and also they have played a pretty balance schedule, and have a two huge road trips. easy wins- UVA, Layfette, NCSU Hard games- 2 losses to Miami (OH) Ranked 4th in Southeast Win over Wagner-Ranked #1 in SE This weekend- #2 SE IUP, #1 NE Stoneybrook, #8 SE Dayton Thanksgiving Weekend- #3 SE Indiana, #6 SE Ohio St.

thanks ALUM, and welcome aboard.
Great site, nice pix- though the "morphing" thing gives me a headache.
2 questions: where are they putting the bleachers? and is there any planned use for that large mezzanine level?

Post by LU hockey alumni on Nov 21, 2005 12:46:37 GMT -5
the plan is for the 1st phase of bleachers to be put on the opposite side from the benches and go from the ice level to the ceiling. Then the plan is start puting them around the top level. Some of the top level will be used for TV/Radio, Pro Shop, and Team Room/VIP lounge. But that stuff is in Phase 2 and 3

I thoink he prefers the term cub reporter. It has a more Jimmy Olsen feel to it.

Hey A-Train,
You are half-right when it comes to the nationals. Starting this year only the top 2 teams in each region secure bids to the nationals. Then the 3rd-10th teams in each region participate in a regional playoff for the final two spots.
1st night 3-10 4-9 5-8 6-7
Then the winners of those game play another game, just for example we will move on the top seeds
3-6 4-5
The winners of the those game secure the final two bids for the nationals. So the key for Liberty is to be get a high a seed as possible, but unless something crazy happens, they will be in the regional playoffs, so getting the top 4 isn't as important, only the top 2 with IUP and either Wagner, or Miami (OH) will get.
