The Redskins could use him too. Any NFL team could use a player of Gado's talent.
HAIL TO THE REDSKINS. Beat the GIants Saturday!!!

oh- if anyone cares there's an article by CHRIS in the fishwrap about Packers LB Paris Lenon- evidently a kid from the 'burg (Heritage HS) trying to make it in the NFL. Lenon enjoys sweet season with Packers *OF COURSE THE LINK IS BAD ALREADY!*

Gado is making lists all over the place as this part of the year is a time for lists in both sports and entertainment. The USA today has an "All Joe" team for the not so glamorous guys in football but guys who just simply get the job done without a lot of fanfair. Congrats to Gado once again. There is probably a link to it on the USA today website but I saw it in the paper for Tuesday Dec 27th.

#8? Listen, I love Gado. But time will tell about how his career will pan out. Next year, we still don't know if he'll be behind the other Green Bay running backs who will recover from injuries, or not...

Well, from what I read on the Packer's message boards, their offensive line is pretty crappy. So I'd say he's doing pretty well for himself. Just think of what his style of running would produce in Denver? Not only could they make 12 year old girls 1000 yard backs, a strong hitting fast back is perfect for that system.
But I too am in a wait and see mode for next year. Not only will teams have film of him to study, as he is somewhat of a mystery for now, but GB isn't going to let him go and they have about 100 runningbacks. It's gonna be hard for him to put up decent numbers when he's not the main man on offense.

Gado does not have to sign with Green Bay. He is a free agent and one that has produced every time he hit the field. He is in the drivers seat. Even if he was a 3rd string back at Liberty :-). He has created a Samkon Gado market and will go to the highest bidder. If the Pack wants to keep him, and he has an agent worth his salt, he will sign a short term high paying contract like 3 years multi-million dollars. He is in the league and is there to stay unless he gets injured.

Right, but I'm pretty sure nobody will offer more than Green Bay. I think they'd really like to keep him and they know what he's worth. Other teams may not be willing to take a chance by offering more than GB would and overpay.

The Pack may be the top bidder primarily since there are so many quality RBs out there. But Sam will most certainly get paid very nicely. Teams will use his fumbles and injury as leverage in negotiations, but he has proven he can ball even on a bad team.

Hope he has a good agent and can last a couple years. If I remember correctly when Richard Shelton was playing, one needed to be on a roster/practice squad for 4 years to qualify for NFL Players retirement. I believe the base retirement was something like $60K a year. It's been a while so forgive me if the numbers are a little off but I believe they are correct.

the thing is the RBs ahead of him on GBs depth chart are free agents as well- I believe. And they are gonna be asking BIG $$$, so GB may wanna spend a bit to keep Sam, and still save some cash over the big names that he replaced. just my thoughts
