HMO you are a True INSIDER, not to be confused with the Insider or the Outsider on this board. Seriously I know you so I know your info is as solid as it comes but it is nice to have validation right?

Here is a story from the Pittsburgh fishwrap that metnions Rashad coming here: Interesting about the other transfer coming tothe Big South. That sounds pretty magnanimous until you realize he wouldn't release Rashad from his scholarship to transfer to UVa. www.post-gazette.com/pg/06010/635315.stm

I subscribe to the other Pittsburgh fishwrap, but didnt look at my paper yet this morning. Terrel Allen will be a nice pickup for either Coastal or Gardner Webb. He was highly recruited out of high school (top receiver in South Carolina) and was deemed "Heir apparant" to Larry Fitzgerald. The injury bug bit Allen and from my inside sources, he was a little too big for his britches. He was less than steller in the kickoff return game, but improved this year, and took one to the house against Louisville (Medic - you remember that game that opened up with a kickoff return by each team)....
He never saw any action at wideout (a walkon beat him out for the 4th receiver spot), but he could be a steller kick returner in the BSC. It will be interesting to see if he can produce at the IAA level.

Poindextor (went to school around Lynch.) got hurt his Sr. year at UVA and it cost him his NFL Career are you serious man, That's the worst reason not to come to LU.... Jim Jones: "Hey Jennings they're going to give you to many carries" Jennings: "I'm not going there, I'd hate to be the focal point of an offense!" I mean the competition argument is ok, D1-AA argument...fine, but if the guy gets hurt b/c he's getting 20-25 carries a game it's going to happen anywhere he goes

another one with the shouting.
I thought everyone understood internet etiquette by now.
otherwise, welcome aboard.
*BTW, your comment may have been meant as tongue-in-cheek, but Jennings has already stated he's on his way.

Jim Jones, go drink your Kool-Aid.
There are probably three people on this board who got that joke.

I seriously doubt the writer of that post is at all familiar with Guyana. But jokes about Cult masters who manipulate their followers to mass suicide is not what I consider particularlt funny material. But maybe that's just me.

...although I frequently jested that at Liberty, we were all like Jim Jones followers, drinking the kool-aid of the administration's propaganda.

that was always my beef- no independant thoughts to be read or seen, esp in the on-campus print media. I'll stop now before SLY gets mad!

School owned & operated media have a vested interest in the property owners that should be respected. As a journalist, I'm cool with that concept. Clearly, you can't purport impartiality at the same time.
Now when independently-operated media force their journalists to adhere to a certain frame of thought, I begin having issues.
Comparing the mid-control techniques of a pychotic svengali in Guyana under the auspices of religion to anything at Liberty is not only unfair but potentially dangerous.
Just my two cents.
