You're catching on to using this board, Chris. Did you head up to Lexington before covering the football game Saturday? If so, I hope you guys earn OT.

Good call. Spending a morning surrounded by toy soldiers before having to endure that slaughter Saturday night would've been too much.

It would not shock me if Josh McDougal turned out to be the next national champion that Liberty produces.

It would actually shock me if he didn't win a national title this year or next. He has the potential to be our first Olympian if he continues his development.

It'll be interesting to see how he does this weekend. Im pretty sure that he will be headed to Stanford for the race out there. Out west they will find some pretty stout competition

Josh will definately be heading to Stanford this weekend, since this is a very good year for josh to make some headway in getting into the top 8 at NCAA's, which is why the team is going to stanford and nationals for the first time in like 5 years, well at least since before i started running here. Josh thrives at big meets, and doesn't have much trouble with pressure either which should hopefully develop him into not only an olympian but perhaps USA's best distance medal hope sometime down the road. I was blessed to have been able to have spent as much time running with him last year as I did. It was something that I wouldn't trade in for the world. God is definately shining down upon his life right now, and only good things are in store for him.

thanks for your "insider" viewpoint guest, feel free to stick around. We could use someone here who has the scoop on this up and coming team, Men and Women.

I had a chance to sit down with Coach Tolsma this week and you can hear some of that interview on This Week in Flames Athletics, Saturdcay at 10 AM on 90.9 FM YOu can hear the show online at www.thelightonline.com I talked to him about the races this weekend, especially the Stanford Invitational because it is a chance to see how Josh McDougal does against some of the best in the west. Also there is another, more touching reason for why they are in this race....you will have to listen to find out what that reason is

Josh and Jordan did it again, they went 1-2 at the Stanford meet yesterday, the team finished 4th overall, and most of the guys had a solid day. The women ran in the un-seeded race and came 13th overall with carol jefferson placing 24th. Congratulations to all of the runners, on a stellar performance at such a prestigous meet.

Those McDougal's are going to be a force to be reckoned with. Josh has yet to finish 2nd or lower in a non-championship race (having finished 13th at last year's NCAAs)
I hope Coach tolsma hasn't gotten tired of talking about it though ;D

Anyone w/ an "in" to this program- the athlete bio's are just a BIT lacking for CC. We'd post more on these guys/girls but there is NO info. Maybe mention that to someone connected to the SID.

Its good to see Jordan get some love. I'm sure Josh is pleased as well. Anybody know how many McDougals there are in Upstate New York? The more the merrier.

Sly, I don't think there's another brother in the pipeline, at least neither Josh nor Jordan mentioned one when I wrote my story on them.
