Oh and I found out today that we now have our own webmaster. hopefully we will have a newer, cooler lookign band site in teh next few weeks. Oh and I also found out that the marching band is cutting a CD sometime in October so you will get your MP3 of the fight song boys! (and even this year's show)

Will the CD be for sale to the general public? If we can pre-order - I'll take two CD's. Mark it down.

We'll cross that bridge when we get to it. all I know is that there is a recording in the works and according to Chris (who is the guy doing the website as well as the guy who plays the big ol bass drum in the marching band), Dr Kerr has indicated that we would be recording soemtime in October, but the CD probably would not be available until probably the Christmas banquet and even the, I do not know if we will mass sell it (although putting some copies in the bookstore would be nice). I will let you know the detials when I know them

Sounds good. If they arent for sale to the masses then maybe you guys could burn a couple on to a CD for those of us who are interested.
Thanks.

Hey. I am Chris, the webmaster for the LU Marching Band. We have just added a page with some of the audio we recorded a couple of weeks ago. There are only four songs on the page, due to the fact that it was ~40 degrees outside when we recorded. The fight song is up there, along with our two drum cadances and one of our stands tunes. They can be found at: www.liberty.edu/academics/arts-sciences/finearts/marchingband/index.cfm?PID=9545God bless.

I was in the marching band in high school. Section leader as a junior, brass leader (unofficially but everyone knew I was) as a senior. I had people ask me to march at Coastal this year but I just don't have the time to. Ok, I just don't feel like putting in the time. Shows and game day are great, but practices suck, and I like actually watching the game instead of being in the band. We were purple though. We looked like giant teletubbies waddling around the field.

thanks- and maybe someone could suggest that the "official" band-webmaster throw the lyrics up on their homepage as well.
All fancy-like, even.

Any ideas of another way I should do it? I'm pretty bored, go ahead and gimme an idea. By the way, that last post was my 100th, in less than a month, and I didn't even use a game thread.
