Frankly, I don't think G-W is any better than us. But that's not saying much.
There's no excuse for not winning this one. It was ours for the taking about 3-4 times. Oh well. It somehow seems fitting.

bigsmooth- Yeah not sure why we diidn'y have Terrell running the keepers. We controled the game but gave up 2 Tds late in the game and a 2pt conversion.

Re-reading this sounds like everybody stepped up- other than the kicker. I am as SERIOUS as a HEART-ATTACK: go pillage the mens soccer team and FIND A KID WITH A LEG. Ridiculous.
I assure you- this will NOT be problem next year. A LOT of things won't be a problem next year.

PA, there's an article on Hoke in the Sun News today about how he played soccar until 10th grade and then started kicking for the football team. That is the best place to find kickers but I don't think NCAA rules will allow an athlete to switch sports without sitting out a year or loosing his scholarship.

So much for not signing in, PAmedic. Thanks a lot. I KNOW! that's exactly what I was afraid of too! To this day, I do NOT watch the Flyers on Comcast- I swear they could be up 5 zip w/ 3 min left in the 3rd: I tune in and they lose. Starting to think I'm bad karma. I'll have to change my tactics- next week I just monitor the ticker and will NOT log on- not even under a poorly disguised pseudonym.

89 - This has been an issue for us all season. Its nothing new tonight. We've tried several different guys with no success. We couldn't even hit PAts for most of the season (when we could actually score).

Not that it would help this year anyway!

And I am SURE the kicking will be a MINOR change compared to what is coming down this off season!

Another choke job when it matters the most. Until we make the fundamental plays then there are no more football games to be won this season.

Went to the game---so disappointing. If I haven't said it before, I believe we have the worst coach in college football. I'm sure he's a good Christian man, but that doesn't make you a good coach. He may have even been a decent player, but good players don't always equal good coaches.
Just when I think he can't screw us up-he goes and does it. I'd love to be a fly on the wall in that locker room to hear what he has to say about this one.
Brock Farrel had an insane game, I'd say MVP should go to him--that last pass at the end of the game was such a let-down-but he has nothing to be ashamed about after his performance. Even though he's had pretty good games IMO for the past few games--he wasn't the starter today. I thought that was stupid. I think the Farrel-Terrell duo is something that works-I don't know why they decided to switch it up. Let's go ahead and try the rotating thing again because it's worked so well for us in the past... NO-it didn't. Not then and not today.
There are so many questions that I have that I can't even think of all of them right now. Mainly, WHAT THE HECK?
A bummer for Senior night-but by far, our best game this season. =\ We were so close.

And on the kickers---I will say that it has been a pitiful kicking game for the past few weeks, but from my experience sitting in on practices-special teams is ignored for the most part. They didn't start working on the kicking game until AFTER the VMI disaster. We haven't had much use for them in games, because hey-we went 3 games without scoring. Not making excuses, they are still full scholarship kickers-but I think those detrimental things are relevant in evaluating how they have performed. It was also a pretty high pressure game--look at the Coastal kicker! He choked as well.

Hey guys. I just wanted to say that this was the most fun I'd had at a game this year, including the Coastal home games. I was joking and just hanging out with your students almost the entire game and it reminded my why I loved college sports. Good luck the rest of the year and I'm hopin to make it back up to Lynchburg for something sooner or later.

Alright, I just got in from an all-nighter working on our homecoming float so I'm too lazy to actually register.
I was actually thinking about coming back up to Liberty next weekend for a concert that one of the guys I met told me about but I don't think I'm gonna have the gas money.
Sly, I'll see what I can do about the signature.
Alright, time to go get gas, make the traditional pregame Sonic run (that I didn't do last week), and go to the game. Good luck to you guys.

I'm not having a good day today. Maryland lost to Florida State and they should have won. New Mexico lost to Colorado State and they should have won. Liberty lost to the beachboys and they should have won. But the Gamecocks beat those nasty Tennessee Vols. Go USC! Thelaxman

SuperJon that is a great signature. I thought Sly was creating his own stuff and here he is getting help from Coastal. So what is the "Buzz" down there in Coastal? If you don't mind, start a thread over on the baskteball link because hijacks get critcized a little on here :-)
