Key Play: On first series LU was on one yard and yet another false start, moving us back. Once again we have to settle for a FG costing us four points, which also force us to go for 2 PT conversion later in the game. So score on that first series we are looking at a tie game.

I think the penalties really kill Liberty. So many false starts, and holding calls. I was sad at the end when Brock had that interception, from the sounds of it, he fell on the play before, now I am not making an excuse, just was wandering if he was shook up.. I know we have artifical turf at Hershey, that is what he has played on. I think the score was misleading, we really did outplay G-W. I think this is definitely one we could and should have won. I have to tell you guys I never have heard such funny school names as I hear, the Liberty team playing,. RUNNING BULLDOGS, now that is funny, Chantacleers, Keydets, I think these names are so funny.. But the Running Bulldogs really makes me laugh. My neighbors has BUllDOG, never runs just snorts.....

Didn't get to listen to the game, I am sick and so is my son. NO GOOD. Good to hear that Brock is the man--makes a tiny ray of hope for next year(zach) get a tiny bit brighter. Still disappointed to hear about another loss. At least the boys get a week off and will finish up at Norfolk St. (a game that I'm attending!) hopefully with a win. Norfolk St. did beat Howard today if I remember correctly-but don't hold me to that. I think we can definitely beat them--that is, if we don't beat ourselves.
Eddantes, agreed. Fire him.

I think the score was misleading, we really did outplay G-W. I think this is definitely one we could and should have won. That's the story of the season. How many have we outplayed, but largely because of sub-par leadership, we're 1-8 on the year. The first four of the season went the way we expected it to happen, a win against Concord and then three straight losses. Sure, the win wasn't as convincing as we hoped, and the losses were far worse than we anticipated, but still. VMI we should have won; Chattanooga we should have won, same with Coastal and now Gardner-Webb. Towson was the classic "two steps forward, three steps back" scenario, but other than that, we should have been 4-5 at this point in the season. Instead, we're 1-8. Please... someone needs to be held accountable for this.

LU actually outgained G-W and had a higher yardage per play average. Time of possession was pretty close. Statistically, it looks like a game LU could won if a couple of plays had gone the right way.

im encouraged by the play of the youngsters. if we can continue to improve, i think we can close out the year with two wins. im still interested on what the future holds for terrell if brock smith is truly the man for next year.

Sounds like the defense played great. I think it is only the 2nd time GW was held to 21 pts this year. Karcher said defense will not lose may starters for next year. Brock Smith will be a good QB w/ Terrell & Greiser in the backfield. Turner had 4th best game as a LU receiver and he is a Sophomore. The tight end Luck seems to be decent and is only a sophomore as well. Calvary(Fr) has being playing great in the secondary. Hopefully somebody will be able to get another good recruiting class in next year.

Yeah, I think that is one of the few positives of this painful season. We are getting a ton of freshmen & sophomores great game experience. Let's hope we can hang onto them. It seems turnover in the roster has really made it tough the past few years.

Hopefully these freshmen that hold some promise for the future such as Calvary, Smith, Terrill, Geisher, and Fluellen will all stay at LU and hopefully next year will be taking orders from someone other than Karcher.

Missed the whole game: doing a bit of roofing on my house (if you can imagine that). Looking forward to next year- and I don't know if this is a legitimate vote of confidence or the proverbial kiss of death, but Karcher gave Brock a "B+" for the effort.

Here are pics from Saturday www.adrianb.us/GW/libert/index.htmlOf course they are heavy on the G-W, but I did get some pretty good shots of liberty. Liberty made it interesting. That Freshman QB was real impressive.

Gracias, Adrian. We need to get you in some photography classes to work on the technique. ;D But your efforts are much appreciated nonetheless. Auntie Ann is probably pleased with this one: And here is one of our patented postgame powwows at midfield: And of course its Coach karcher getting ready for yet another postgame discussion with one of our own posters: Thanks again, Adrian.
