What's the deal with Jordan? Injury? Is he available for Regionals? From what Coach Tolsma told me in an interview, he was being kept out because of a leg injury he had been neglecting throughout the season. I will ask tomorrow when I talk to him if he will be ready for the regionals since they have an off weekend before that race.

Maybe since Jordan didn't run. Not sure. Does anyone know if he is running Saturday?

Clearly, Jordan wasn't back to full strength finishing 158th.
But it sure looks like Josh has put himself back in position to make a run at his 1st NCAA Title.

When I talked to Coach TOlsma earlier in teh year about the nationals last year, he mentioned the fact that it was on a muddy course and that Josh wasn't able to run his race on that particluar type of course. I think that if the course was like it was during the Pre-Nationals, Josh is going to run just as fast as he did then, if not break the course record again

if not- he'll need a better excuse this time! muddy course? C'mon- back in the day, I ran X-country. (No shoes, uphill both ways, in the snow, etc)

Are you sure you're not confusing X-Country and just walking to school PAMed? Oh yeah, I can testify that I actually walked a mile to school in the snow one time...before they built the tunnel, I lived on East Campus and had to take the bridge to class b/c my car was stuck in a drift in the parking lot.

www.ncaasports.com/crosscountry/story/9041993Top two teams from each region qualified with 13 at-large teams selected. With 9 regional races run, it's easy to see why a 9th place finisher wouldn't get one of those at-large spots...

SMOOTHIE, I was thinking the same thing- then I looked at our regional competition. Sure, we won the BSOUTH, but the ACC had some good teams as well as others that basically crushed us! (w/ the obvious exception of Josh)
