Jonathan thingyinson fired a three-under par 68 on the final day of competition at the CSU Spring Kickoff Tournament, helping him finish fourth overall at the season-opening event.

wish we had a team when I was there, might have motivated me to stay and finish. But congrads to Jonathan on a great showing, hopefully the team will continue to improve and get stronger this season.
*EDIT: I don't even know how to fix this one- the auto "vulgarity-killer" butchered this poor kid's NAME! It's "Dikinson" but w/ a "c" in it for cryin' out loud*

Actually, Toby McKeon (sp?) of DC Talk fame helped star up the team while we were in school, PAmedic. I'm not sure exactly what officially was our first year of NCAA competition.

man, wish I'd known that then- of course I didn't really appreciate golf until about 10 years ago. And I think I still have a DC Talk tape* somewhere.
*(old hag term alert: means "cassette tape", was an updated version of the 8-tracks we USED to listen to - still have some of those as well! Pre- CD and laser disk days)

Toby was pretty good. I should see if he wants to post on this board. I still talk with him from time to time. My wife and I attend his family's church in Northern VA when we go up there. Fair Oaks church (formerly Bethlehem Baptist). Rev Stokes is pretty cool. I am sure there are several current LU students from that church.

How on earth did Lehigh get a DNF? Did they all throw their back out or something?

was thinking that but didn't want to start it. Would probably be an issue w/ scholarship availability- then again , what is the financial impact on the SCHOOL of a scholarship athelete? is there a big $ loss per or is that really a non-issue/low impact?

How on earth did Lehigh get a DNF? Did they all throw their back out or something? since you mentioned it, I looked it up and, surprise, surprise- our website was INCORRECT, this is straight from Lehigh's site: Williamsburg, VA – Lehigh shot a 638 as a team to finish in a tie for 15th in an 18-team field at the two-day William and Mary Invitational on Sunday and Monday. The host Tribe shot a 602 and won a playoff over Richmond to win the event, which took place at the Par 72 Golden Horseshoe Golf Course.

after round 2 we are now 3rd, 2 shots behind CSU. Coastal is running away w/ it: 34 shots ahead. D1ckinson is +1 on the tourney, not bad at all.
