I was in the Press Box last night and early this morning, I wish I had the funds to get a PDA but until I hit the bigtime and get out of Lynchburg it can only be a dream. Ok so I am going over the top a little. Should be interesting to see who we are matched up against, I would love to see UNC cause I am a Tar Heel dead but playing up at Klockner would be really easy for our fans to go to the game at UVA.

thanks- I have an old Handspring Visor that I don't think can handle it, a new Dell Inspiron 600m (well, Mrs 2B's but maybe I can borrow it) and a Nextel i730. Maybe someone can email me schematics, or just send the Geek Squad up right off the bat.

Big South Champion Lady Flames Draw Virginia In NCAA Women’s College Cup First Round
November 7, 2005 · Lynchburg, Va.
The Liberty Lady Flames, champions of the Big South Conference and riding a seven-game win streak, will square off against the Virginia Cavaliers in the first round of the NCAA Women’s College Cup, the NCAA selection committee announced earlier this evening.
The Lady Flames, who enter the Cup with a 12-6-2 mark, will travel to Charlottesville, Va., Friday to meet the Cavaliers. The match will be at either 5 p.m. or 7:30 p.m.
Liberty earned the Big South Conference’s automatic bid yesterday with a 3-0 win over UNC Asheville. The win was the Lady Flames’ seventh-straight victory, the longest winning streak in the program’s history. It will be the third trip to the NCAA Women’s Cup for the Lady Flames as Liberty went to the national tournament in 2000 and 2001 as champions of the Big South Conference. Liberty’s 12 victories are the second most in program history as the 2000 squad had 15.
Virginia, the ACC runner-up, enters the Cup ranked 7th in the nation after posting a 15-5-1 record this season. The Cavaliers fell on Sunday to North Carolina in the finals of the ACC Championship.
The match-up will be the second between Liberty and Virginia in the NCCA Women’s College Cup. The two met in 2001 in Charlottesville with the Cavaliers coming away with a 3-0 victory.
The game will be one of two matches in Charlottesville on Friday. Wake Forest and Tennessee will meet in the other match at Klochner Stadium as 64 teams will begin the quest for the 2005 Women’s College Cup with 16 games at eight venues around the nation. This year’s Cup culminates with the Final Four, December 2 and 4, in College Station, Texas.

I don't know why it never made it to our web site, but I wrote a women's soccer story that ran in the Thursday paper.
(Just trying to ward off the catcalls about LC vs. LU again, seeing as Steve wrote a LC soccer story that showed up in the Friday paper. We did run something on LU, it just never made it online.)

I have to admit that thought did cross my mind. But then again, I saw where you guys didn't post anything on the web yesterday and I thought perhaps you had done a story then.

No shame at all in getting run by UVa at their house. A very good season indeed, ladies.

got a chance to see the ladies play tonight as im in c'ville for the football game tomm. we played ok the first half, but the hoos took control midway through the first half and used their deep bench to wear us down, and we just ran out of gas. the soccer savvy fans there had nothing but good things to say about liberty soccer. great season ladies!
