Dr. Falwell is founder and chancellor of LU. With the recent hospitalizations, what is the contingency plan should Dr. Falwell not be able to perform his duties? Would LU be run by the board of trustees, or would the chancellorship be transferred to one of his sons? Will LU continue to experience the growth it has experienced without Dr. Falwell at the helm?

you'd HAVE to think there is a working plan in place- w/ an organization the size of LU and all its related ministries. Also, w/ him being so busy and involved in many facets (including preaching) I am sure there are many talented people currently running the day-to-day operations that will step up.
Not to omit the obvious- not having Dr Falwell will be a VERY tough adustment when the time comes. Just have to trust His will in the matter.

I really don't believe there is a need of a contingency plan. Dr. J has helped the university reach a point where it operates on its own on a day to day basis. Obviously, fundraising will take a severe blow.
I have to admit that it was a pleasant surprise to see his admittance tot he hospital mentioned on NBC Nightly News. Its a testament to his impact on America that he was getting the pope treatment.
Our continued prayers are with Dr. Falwell.

Sly hit the mark. The school will run fine, it's the money that may stop coming in (not to mention the national exposure).
