This article is pretty much waste time at work but there was interesting stuff on it and if you scroll down u notice Liberty is ranked low in comparsion with other Baptist school, why is that? www.samford.edu/News/040505_2.html

The APR is a new measure of the academic success rates and retention of student-athletes. The reason why LU is ranked low is because the school often looses athletes who do not "fit in" with the LU family. Many athletes leave Liberty because its not for them, and you'll notice, most of those other schools don't stand up for whats right like LU does.

evidently there needs to be a formula that factors in those leaving due to academic FAILURE and those transferring. The institution should not be penalized for those students who CHOSE to move on- IE: early exit for pro status, etc? Major programs would be at a big disadvantage due to having successful teams- you could concievably have a top ranked program with horrendous sports teams (IVY league). whats the point?
