all right- getting the family truckster fueled up and ready for the big trip.
its been a while- so somebody better tell me if Rt 29 (S) has been torn up, detoured, replaced, or something else. Otherwise, I'm planning on going 95 (S) to the beltway- out 66 (W) to 29. should be about 6 hrs, barring traffic.

Maybe a little construction before you get to Madison Heights right by Sweet Briar college...they're finishing the bypass around that town there...but you should be fine otherwise...speed limit is now 60 past Charlottesville.

Not yet. It will open up in about 3 months. Coming through DC, WTOP has traffic reports every 10 minutes if your coming through DC, PA. Your route should be fine. I'll be on that road too tomorrow.

I may see some of you on the road today! Drive safely and try not to take up too much space on 29 south. Medic you may run into some traffic in DC. Just guessing. Ok, it is a 100 percent chance! Can't wait for the ByPass in Madison Heights to be complete. Drive safe guys.

i had a reaaly good time at homecoming! the alumni staff did a great job of hosting. they gave everyone a bag of goodies( t-shirt, travel mug, window sticker) the cook out after the game was good, and just touring the campus and seeing the great things God is doing at LU just got me really excited. Also it was great to meet PAMedic, and his better half, absturgill, Atrain and just gimmethemic, and of course to hang out with my boy and good friend SCAR...who was my personal tour guide! im sorry for those who could not make it, and hopefully next year the firehouse can plan a nice tailgate next year!

I'd love to join the festivities next year. But Saturdays in the fall are next to impossible for sports guys in Texas. It sound slike good time was had by all despite the final results on the field.
I expect pictures and plenty of them.

Absturgill has the best camera I have seen short of having professional equipment but he left it at home. I left mine too. Homecoming was a lot of fun. I had fun teasing FSN32 for dropping a pass that came flying towards us from Brock Farrell while we were on the sidelines. He was calling the game from the sidelines so he has an excuse for not catching it. I could make a wide reciever /QB joke here but why kick them when they are down. Met ATrain at the volleyball game. It was great hanging out with Smooth and Medic. Gotta do it again real soon. Basketball season in the Vines is going to be a lot of fun this year. We at the Firehouse need to get together.

well helloooooo Ladies- I'm back. I'm sure you all missed me.
Homecoming was a blast- I only got lost on campus once, but the 200 cops they had running around were quick to help me out.
Can't begin to tell you how much the place has changed in the 15 yrs since I was there. The Vines Ctr, for one, amazed me. That and the fact that SCARs head fit thru the door. (thanks again for back-dooring me w/ you know what, SCAR...you know what I'm talking about)
Smoothie was cool too, met GIVEMETHEMIC and Jamie Hall- nearly talked over top their pregame show (they shut off the mics when I walked up), met ATRAIN and somehow missed ABSTURGIL and FF710. Sorry fellas- see ya next time. Ate like a pig, annoyed the Winthrop soccer players, and I think I scared half the students w/ my erratic driving.
All in all, a good time. And everyone liked my T-shirt.

PAmedic that shirt was great, it was great to meet BigSmooth and the PAmedic. As always SCAR it was great to be graced with your presence. I have the FSU @ UVA on the 15th so I will not be there. But B-ball season is only a little bit more than a month away can't wait.

Looking forward to working with you Givemethemic. I am going to try to be there for you more for women's radio games. That was a lot of fun last year and I think you and I are developing some smooth chemistry on the air. Don't call me for Winthrop/Liberty though (sorry WEF). I can't take doing filler within the first 10 minutes of a game!
