This is the 2006 Confirmed Schedule for the University of New Mexico Lobos Men's Lacrosse Team. This spring I'm only helping out as my health will allow. I take over as Head Coach in July of 2006. In 06-07 Season look for a new website and our program being listed on the Lobo Athletics Page. On our schedule in 2007 look for the big guns like Texas Tech, Arizona, BYU, Utah, Arizona State, Colorado State, and Colorado. UNM Lacrosse 2006 Schedule: February 25th, 2006 Colorado School of Mines Home 1PM March 4th, 2006 Northern Arizona Home 1PM March 21st, 2006 Colorado State Pueblo Home 4PM March,25th 2006 Northern Arizona Away 1PM April 2nd,2006 Western State Away 1:30PM April 9th, 2006 Wyoming Away 12 Noon I will make Lobo Fans out of you Guys yet or at least make the University of New Mexico your second favorite College team around here. Thanks again for the help with moving. Thelaxman www.geocities.com/libertylacrosse/coach/coach.htm

I wouldn't count on converting me from the Horns anytime soon. But you can give it a shot.
That's a good idea to face the brainiacs from SOM right off the bat. What they may lack in athletes they make up for intelligence.

I coached at Mines for 2 years and it was some great times coaching those guys. In all my years Coaching, at practice and this includes Liberty Guys would talk about their Girl friends and personal relationship stuff when the teams are doing warm ups. But at Mines those Guys would talk about advanced Calculus, Chemistry, Nuclear Physics and so on. I really enjoyed my time coaching at Colorado School of Mines. When I was at the Conference meeting in September in Durango Their Coach was telling me that they still talk about our Team in 99 that played in the Rocky Mountain Conference Championship game. Well Sly Fox, I don't know if you know this but there is no Love lost in New Mexico for Texas. If we end up going to Texas on a Charter Bus trip we may go to Austin and play your Horns. By the way I'm pulling for USC in the Rose Bowl. USC all the way 3 peat ! Go Trojans! Thelaxman www.geocities.com/libertylacrosse/coach/coach.htm

I'll ignore your Trojans wishes as sheer folly. As for the feeling of those in NM toward the Lone Star State, it can be summed up in one word: JEALOUSY.

Sorry - I love my Alma Mater, but Pitt-LU tie with a slight nudge to LU. I will pull for UNM though since I have no love for any West Coast School.
BTW - it will be a repeat by USC. They were the AP Champion in '03 and LSU was the Coaches poll champion - so they split the BCS. This would be their 2nd outright national championship - were is TigerDave?

Well at least I tried. At least New Mexico will be one of the Schools you Guys pull for except for Sly Fox. My Wife is a native of Texas but she has traded her ways as a Texan and has become a New Mexican. Me, I just love the southwestern USA. After I went to CBN University/ Regent U in Virginia Beach I worked in Television in California and on the way out to Cali I fell in Love with the southwest. It really is God's Country out there with all the mesa's and Mountains and wide open spaces. When I came back through to take an Airline job with US Air in Baltimore I knew I wanted to come back again. Thanks for sending me some Alumni to help with the move. In time New Mexico Lacrosse will be up there with the ranks of Liberty on the Lacrosse field Go Lobos! Thelaxman www.geocities.com/libertylacrosse/roster.html
