video.download.com/3800-11165_53-10661.htmlThis is... this is... well, if Liberty did this, I'd return my diploma and demand that they return the four years I wasted on tuition. In case you didn't know, pretty much all schools have a promotional video that talks about their place. This is the one for Appalachian State. It's... it's beyond comprehension how bad this is. It's not even comically bad. And yet, they beat us in football.

When this video made the rounds on AGS awhile back even the Appy folks were pleading for mercy.
That truly takes awful to new depths.

They had it posted on AGS awhile back. If I can find the old link from there I'll post it here. But that may require more time than I possess.

That was so much more entertaining that I was expecting. I sure hope somebody was fired. That was us about 15-20 years ago from what I gather on the Liberty Channel.

If you think the ASU video was bad - you should have sat through years of BJU and PCU "indoctrination" tapes. The ASU would have won an academy award next to those!

Whoever found this is awsome. One of my good friends went to that hippy school the same time while I was at Liberty and burned us more than anything. This video is hilarious, especially at the end where they have some soloist. At first I thought it was from the 80's but at the end, it shows Richie Williams (current QB and started his first game against us back in 2001 where we almost upset them in the burg') running with the ball. Its funny how many people at LU had ties to App. I guess App was our biggest non-conference rival for many years, until recently.

Just saw the video. I'm actually embarrassed and I didn't attend Appy State. It should be called ASU is HA! HA! HA! I especially like the 1970's sitcom soundtrack. I kept expecting an appearance from Jack Tripper. "come and knock on our door....we've been waiting for you......

I completely forgot about that HIDEOUS show. Even attended a taping of it, I'm ashamed to say. Think it was over the OTGH studios- way back when.

obviously ed, you haven't watched enough Liberty Channel. I acutally haven't caught an episode in about a year. It's some talk show that discusses "moral dilemmas". Kinda like a Jerry Springer version of GNED. All of the character are actors. It's hosted by some ripped black dude with the biggest jerry curl you've ever seen. I can only hope and pray that it was taped back in 1984.

Actually I believe it was more like '88-'89. I remember they were doing it while I was working in radio & television across town. I know a bunch of the "actors" who were in it. Let's just say none of them are in blockbuster films or network television today.
