Why don't they just make a portable tv that has a built in digital tuner? Nokia is pursuing the same concept for their phones so I know they could make the stand alone tv idea work. I don't want to pay anymore for a cell phone b/c you can view the local news on it. What if I lose it down a drain? Then I can neither watch tv on the go or make that very important phone call I've been putting off all day.

That has to be one of the most curious debut posts ever.

I'm thinking of starting a non-profit company similar to insurance but not insurance b/c they are dirty greedy pigs. I've done some rough math and for 50-100 dollars a month, an entire family could be covered in a plan. Come to think of it, there would only be one plan. I wouldn't be able to call it insurance b/c it would be more like putting money into a pool. You would still be considered a member. There is no one under the sun that can tell me this wouldn't work better than traditional insurance b/c they are obviously for profit and to be for profit you have to pay out as little as possible. Plus, without ludicrous stipulations of all crazy sorts, you wouldn't have to worry about what is covered and what isn't. I realize some of you are thinking that people will abuse the system. They will submit claims like crazy to get medical bills paid off. The cool thing is that for those who are crooked or honest but really really sick, they don't compare to the number of honest people (and healthy) that just want a plan that is going to show up and provide on a first come first serve basis up to the full amount due in medical bills. Now you tell me this isn't a good idea and i'll just have to prove it to you in the not so distant future.
