I thought it would be nice to look back on the year that was in Liberty sports. What moment or moments stuck out with everyone this year?

I have to concur with the board so far and agree it was the Sweet Sixteen Run. Dr. Falwell's vision realized.

I agree with our Women's basketball team's run to the regional semifinals. That was the best thing that ever happened at LU.

Yeah. I thought so too. I can't remember a year where we had so many great accomplishments.

By far the Sweet 16 but better things are coming in the future. Josh McDougal's 4th place finish nationally and his course records are pretty amazing too. Gado's meteoric rise is special and having a 1st round draft pick in women's hoops have been done before (Eric Green). But I would have to put my dunk on ESPN on this list...KIDDING SLY!

I would have to say Sweet without a doubt, it was a pleasure to be apart of school history and will never forget getting out of school for a whole week to be with the team. I agree Scar, we have just hit the tip of the iceberg as far as our athletic program. We will continue to get bigger and better. I hope you guys have a great hoilday season, my 5 week vaction offically started yesterday.

given the structure of the question (best FLAMES moment of '05) ya gotta go w/ the WBB effort. But the "all the above" right up there as well, just that some of the others were more individual recognition.

nice find TRANNEY, whoops I mean TRANEY (j/k). Yeah, he-she was a beast on the boards but didn't have a real good cross-over and wasn't a threat outside the paint.
I amuse myself
