Do you guys know if the ADept ever sells any game worn football and or basketball gear? My son wants to pick up some stuff and I have tried contacting a few folks in the Athletic Department reagrding this. Their e-mails must be on the blink because after repeated attempts - no one has responded. If any of you guys have a different angle that would be great.
Thanks!

They really do not have anything, it is hard enough for us students to get a shirt that says Liberty Basketball or LU Football for that matter. They are getting better, they sell some stuff at the games....but in they eyes of us students...its something you would buy and take home to mom and dad.

I agree. The stuff from Universal T's is much better than the bookstore stuff. I'm talking more about oder game worn jerseys, helmets, etc. that the Athletic Department coud auction off - even use as an incentive for new Flames Club members.
I would love to have a few of the helmets from back in the early to mid 80's.

We discussed this in another thread awhile back. As of right now, they do not auction off game-worn uniforms or equipment. I can't think of a good reason why they don't.

and a white face mask. I'm in the process of getting the script "Flames" logo from back in the late 70's/early 80's. I promised my oldest son (4 years old) I would get him an old Flames helmet. Had to get it done.
It should be sweet. He'll look like he played for Tom Dowling.

No need to duck & cover. All our new friend needs is a little enlightenment.

That ain't nothing but a bunch of Mexicans heading to Oklahoma! seriously, I love Texas football. I also like the fact we have Elijah Miller on tap for next season in MBB! I hope he will come as billed.
Any sleepers in football you can alert the football staff to down in your area?

I'm not sold on Eligah Miller he has a ton of work to do. He really needs to work on his foot work among other things. He still has the off season and preseason, I wouldn'y get too hype about him yet though.

Got ya. I think we are all desperate in hoping a true big man will emerge. with our guards - if we had a post presence it might be enough to put us over the top in the BSC.

I can't argue that Elijah is a work in progress. I could see that in his season at UH. But he has the tools to really have an impact on the court. All he needs to do is continue to make progress. Playing int he Big South will build his confidence instantly after the grind of C-USA. And come on formerplayer, cut a Houstonian a little slack.

Although I have yet to see him play but i did catch the team running the mile and he beat pretty much everyone and even lapped a few people...that impressed me and I think he would be great for a little fun-N-gun O
