Listen, I would not go on a Liberty sports Board and ask for help if I did not need it. But I'm in some real need here.
Guys, I just am not in the best health to move my Family to New Mexico and if anyone lives in the Carolina region I'm just south of Charlotte in Rock Hill. I need help with loading a large U-haul Truck on the 29th and 30th of December. If you can help me out it would be appreciated. I just need some help with loading the Truck. I would be willing to pay for your time,Gas and meals. If anyone can be of some help let me know. Just with my health the way it is I can not do this on my own and the folks I was counting on are going to let me down. You can E-mail me at jwestfall@rhtc.net or call me at (803)328-2962.
Thanks,
Thelaxman

Yeah, I know. It is very frustrating when you were depending on a few folks and they are going to let you down. Also it is hard enough to get anyone to help you during the Holidays no matter what you pay them.
It keeps coming back to that accident and if I was not in the shape I'm in health wise it would not matter to me but I'm just not 100% to do moving and go cross country. Last year at this time I could have did most of this work by myself but this health thing is something I live with for now. The same way I was driven to coach Lacrosse and win I'm driven to beat this thing and to get my health back.
Thanks anyway,
Thelaxman

It looks like my Wife is here for the rescue with some parents from our local home School group here in Rock Hill and some Teens to help us. I also may be able to get a few people from my Church so I think this is going to work.
If anyone else is within a short drive of the Charlotte area give me a call or an E-mail and I will cover your costs to come and help.
Thanks,
Thelaxman

Thanks

I echo PAmedic's sentiments that if I were closer I'd be there.
That's quite a bit of time on I-40 ahead of you. Be careful on the road (as if I need to tell you of all people).

I'm from King, about an hour and a half north of Charlotte. I'd help, but we're going to Conway on the 29th to pack up my place down there so I can move it up to Lynchburg on the 2nd. I'll be doing my own packing or else I'd help.

I just want to say thank you all from the bottom of my heart. Some Alumni folks and members of this board in the Charlotte area are making offers to help. The help is so much appreciated since I just am not up to par with my health and doing this move. For a long time since the accident my family has really felt abandon by the Liberty family and the University but you guys have really reached out and blessed my family and I. I'm very grateful to all of you. Thank you so much. I don't know if we are going I40 with the moving Truck and my Ford Ranger pulling a Trailer. The reason is my Ranger only has a 4 cylinder Engine and I have worries about the trek from Asheville, NC to Knoxville, TN. I have used my truck to tow our Pop-up camper to Florida but that was on flat country. So we are looking at going to Atlanta and heading North through Alabama and Mississippi to Memphis and then I40 across Arkansas, Oklahoma and then Texas and into New Mexico. The up grades are a little in Arkansas with the Ozarks and when you come into New Mexico the Mesas are tough around Tucumcarri and Santa Rosa, NM. But nothing on the trip compares to those Mountains between Asheville and Knoxville. The only problem with going the Southern route is I get nerves about driving through Alabama and traffic in Atlanta. We may put the Trailer on the back of the Huge U-Haul Truck through the Mountains and then hock it up to the Ranger between Nashville and Memphis. One way or the other we are going to get home to New Mexico. Thanks for everything. All the best, Thelaxman

Well we are here. I have not had a break and I'm running a little on empty. In South Carolina we had a brief Christmas and we had to move out in the middle of the Holidays. Lisa and I made the mistake of signing the contract with the Real Estate folks like that and it was very hard on our Family. I was not in the best of health and having to move Cross Country was very hard on us all the way around. But when moving day came we had some Liberty University Alumni and even one former Lacrosse Player that drove down from Lynchburg to help out. Lisa Enlisted folks from her Home School group and the job got done through the hard work of so many. I recently got a new job with a Major Communications Company. They even gave me a raise from the starting pay because of my Degree and my job experience. It is very close to home and I can even walk to work. I had to take a bunch of Tests for the position and at one time I thought I did bad because I had a lot of issues with the testing with my Memory but I ended up doing good and had great Interviews. Lisa and I are real excited about this new opportunity. I would drive Lisa and Jenna Cross Country through the deep south route on the first run through my favorite place Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, Louisiana and Texas. I would later fly back to South Carolina on Southwest Airlines through Dallas Love Field and take a Taxi Cab to DFW to fly on US Airways to Charlotte from DFW. I meet up with former US Airways working mate Mike Pruit when I got back to Charlotte. Mike took the early retirement in July but because of a health disability he was not able to left much. But he sure can drive a large U-Haul Truck. On the second run we went I40 all the way through Western North Carolina, Tennessee, Arkansas, Oklahoma and the Texas panhandle. I treated Mike, Jackson and Jeremiah to Dinner at the Big Texan in Amarillo, Texas. There was a guy who tried to eat the 72 oz steak and could not do it. Mike and I had some laughs about that. At the Big Texan if you can eat the 72 oz steak it is free. It is an I40 Tourist thing. I often stop there when I'm on I40 heading home to New Mexico. I felt week driving through Oklahoma and Jeremiah was reading his Travel Journal and his Noval he is writing about Power Man and Lightening Man. He was able to keep me awake and going. Jeremiah was a lot of fun to ride with. I'm really proud of how he is doing in School. When we got to New Mexico the University of New Mexico Lacrosse Team showed up with new Players and some former Guys who had played for me in the 90's. They told me that they were not going to ever let me leave New Mexico again. The Guys worked really hard and got the U-Haul Truck off loaded in 1-2 hours. Lisa had been worried about having some help off loading in New Mexico but the University of New Mexico Lacrosse Team and former Players came through. When Lisa and I came through the Sandia pass on the first run and went down I40 west and we could see the whole City of Albuquerque in the Valley. She turned to me with Tears in her Eyes and said "we are home". I40 West and the City of Albuquerque never looked so good. It has been one of the craziest years in our Marriage but a blessed one to have each other and all our Children. I just want to thank all the people that had a part in this successful move. Your hard work helped make this happened and there is no way we would have made it if not for the help of so many folks that had a role in a successful move. My health is improving and for a guy that had Brain Surgery I did pretty good with back to back Cross Country drives. For now I'm a little tired and plan to get some rest. I'm real excited about the future for our Family and starting a new Job along with the the prospects of Coaching again with a young Team in the very competitive Rocky Mountain Lacrosse League. For now my focus is on our Family and my health and there are some exciting things that will happened for Lisa and I in the future here in New Mexico. I hope this letter finds you all well and that you have a blessed weekend. If I have someone on this E-mail listing by mistake and wants off please drop me a line. Also for now I'm using this Juno Account at johnwestfall5@juno.com . We have a new account with Cable One that is a High Speed deal but it is down at the moment. Glad to hear you made it to New Mexico in fine fashion. Keep us posted on your situation. BTW we have an entire Lacrosse forum over on the new site: flamefans.comYou ought to christen the board now that you have settled in.

Glad to hear everything worked out- sorry I'm so far away or you KNOW I would've been there- and I'm sure I speak for SLY and everyone else as well.
