OK, let's get this season finale over with so we can put this football season behind us. Its been an exasperating fall that has seen us eke out victories over bad teams and get blown out by the good ones. A victory over Elon would at least let it end on a positive note. And I know for some on this board, they'd rather we tanked so the staff would be out on their keister.

Concerning the Chattanooga game. I thought that it was a pretty good win considering the team's lack of success agains't quality competition. Despit the poor record, Chattanooga beat some quality teams in Appy State and Western Carolina and Liberty beat them at there place. I can easily compare it to the Hofstra win last year (teams with poor records but show that they can compete with anyone and are in traditional IAA power conferences.) So I am trying, for ounce, to look at the bright side of an otherwise dismal year for LU. The wins against the Big south pushovers did very little to restore my confidence in them. Concerning the coach I am thinking that he might leave anyway because next year would appear to be somewhat of a rebuilding year since they will be depleted at running back and defensive back and are loosing some of their better players at all positions. I am thinking that he just might jump ship thinking that next year wouldn't be much better and most likely worse unless he could pick up some very good transferes from 1A teams or some excellent recruits. I don't know what those possibilities are considering his lack of success in the past in this area. If he finishes 6-5 it would be hard to justify firing him but remember what happened to Morgan Hout. So it is a possibility although not likely. I would bet on him resigning on his own. Lets hope that they can beat Elon just to say that we finish the season with a winning record.
