Please travel safely (PAMedic, bigsmooth) and enjoy being back on the Mountain. I have to hold my brother's hand as he takes the plunge Saturday at 1 PM! But while he is saying his vows I will be with you guys in spirit. A win over VMI would brigthen my day and even as bad as we have been not out of reach.
If you see me out on I-81 you'll see my Flames magnets on the back of the Explorer (PA tags). If you see me honk and don't run me off the road! I still love this school and the sports teams. We'll get to the pinnacle one day!
Let's go Flames! Win number 2! Any of you guys that can bend someone's ear down there tell them about Royer's Rock!

I really admire you people that are going down to watch that game. Right now I am too ticked off to set foot in that stadium from all the shenanigans going on.

When you suffer for years as a Philly sports fan, you get used to the feeling, trust me. This is nothing!

Haha, I can relate--I'm a Michigan sports fan---Lions & Tigers?? Think about my pain. Usually I can count on the Pistons and the Wolverines--we'll see about the Pistons, but looks like the Spartans are going to have to be the saving grace this football season!
I'm going to the game, I've also got hopes that we can at least get some numbers on the board.

Any of you guys that can bend someone's ear down there tell them about Royer's Rock! H'BURG, you'll be glad to know one of the 1st things I did on Sat was seek out (and found) Bob Good from the Flames Club at their tent over at Williams. I introduced myself, indicated that a lot of us on here were discussing ways to emphasize the tradition of the LU football program. I asked him if he was familiar w/ Rock Royer- he was- and indicated we all thought it would be a positive thing to remember him somehow. Bob stated that admin actually had mtgs looking into ways to promote tradition, and seemed surprised/happy to hear that others were on the same page. I guess we have reason to be positive- though alot of what went on this weekend is designed to make alumni happy- it remains to be seen what action gets taken. We need to keep supporting LU sports! GO FLAMES!

He seemed like a "good" guy- then again, so did everyone. Alumni really were treated like royalty all weekend. Anyway- I have his business card, and the brochure, and the fee schedule (I mean, "donation"!), and the poster, and ...
