You know as well as I do, Rok, that Charleston Southern has no fans. If you can find some then direct them here.
And yes, we absolutely should be able to walk all over CSU with our walkons. Will we? That's another issue.

I don't know. Since it's at home, I think we'll win.

I think that we will win only because we are at home. On the road there would definetly be a good possibility of a loss.

lol sly - I'm sure they have a few here and there. But I was just wondering for myself. Just kinda wanted to see how you guys felt about it. This could be a very interesting week in conference action. I expect CCU to win - BUT ... if we lose and you guys win then there is a 3-way tie for first

If you guys play anywhere close to the way you did last week against us, you don't have anything to worry about in the Big South. Just take care of your business.
As for us, I have given up trying to figure out how low our program can stoop. Hopefully this past weekend was rock bottom. Getting blown out at home by CSU would take it to a new low. But I sincerely doubt that will happen. The players are gutting it out for pride now. If last Saturday was embarassing for us, then you can imagine how tough its been on them.

I think CSU is on the way back up - but I agree that you guys should win. I think CSU will have a hard time with their last 3 conference games.
I know it sucks to have lost to us - but hopefully your guys will benefit from this as a learning experience and realize not to underestimate anyone. I 'think' our guys have learned that after the Newberry disaster but we'll certainly find out in the next 4 weeks.

Thanks, Rok.
Let's roll Charleston Southern and find a way to get back on track. Its time for the Flames to ignite.

WHO CARES!!!!! We all know that Charleston Southern plays mostly division 2 teams and even stuggles with them. A win against a school this low means nothing in terms of respect for LU. Besides a loss for LU would just let everyone know that they need to start looking for a decent coach, aside from all of the hoopla about LU's new building.

Well, Liberty won big. But we still ran in to the kicker...committed something like 4 holding penalties in a row...& Had too many men on the field for an extra point. What is this, like 7 games into the season.
But I am happy with the victory...
also, Coastal was beating Gardner Webb last I checked...I'm not sure if they won, but if they did, congrats on winning the Big South.

I understand your feelings completely, Steve. But at this stage in the program's morose a victory over ANYBODY is reason for temporary relief.
While the rushing numbers were outstanding, I thought the best news of the evening was that Farrell was fairly effective in his limited passing opportunities. While he didn't roll up big numbers, he also didn't hurt the team with any interceptions. If our passing game can just hang on to the ball and help with a 1st down every now and then it would be a big boost.
So we've avoided becoming a complete embarassment this weekend. That doesn't mean the ship is back on course ... it just avoided sinking and the crew is bailing water as fast as they can.

Thanks jim ... we did win the game - but haven't won the conference yet. If we lose to CSU then someone gets to share it with us. We also lost our starting QB for the season so that sucks alot - but we have some good depth and I think we'll be good for the rest of the season. Good luck next week against VMI - they are alot tougher than an 0-8 team should be - but you guys should be able to handle them.

rok -- As much as you post, you really ought ot go ahead and register on this site.
Congrats on your victory. I hadn't heard about your QB. But frankly, unless your defense all comes up lame in practice this week, Chas So has no chance of scoring anyway. You'll bang the Bucs.

I have so many forum memberships I'd hate to have another one to keep up with - since I figure I won't be posting that much in the next few weeks and probably not posting at all for the next 7-8 months Thanks for the kind words - congratz to you about CSU as well. I know that you were heavily favored to win but I think CSU is on the way up. Coach Mills is doing a good job down there and their program will continue to get better. It certainly isn't a good thing to have a QB down - but we have a very good backup as well as some depth. I expect us to handle CSU - but I am concerned that they could provide an aerial firework show. Our pass defense isn't the greatest ... so we'll see in a couple of weeks
