Just wanted to take some space and give a farewell to one the most prolific shooters in NBA History. He leaves more than a legacy on the court, Reggie was a true role model and a man of character in the league. He gave a lot back to the franchise and to our community. I will always remember his duals with the Knicks, MJ, and of course Spike. It is just going to be a bit different going to games and not seeing #31 in the starting line-up.

Farewell to Reggie. The only NBA player in history that couldn't beat his sister one-on-one.

I've never been a fan due to his on-court demeanor. But I have to respect a guy retiring while he still has plenty left in his tank.

Quite understandable, and I also would put some $ on Cheryl 1-on-1. It was very good to see how they sent him off in the post game ceremony. Through all that has happened this year I am glad i can still say im proud to be a Pacer fan.
And as for some gas left in the tank, I think he might have a few playoff magic left in there to. or at least I hope!
and sorry for winning Scar, the Pistons are going to be a tough match-up!!!

In the east, unless Shaq is healthy there is NO team that is much above average. If Shaq is good to go, the Heat when in a cakewalk. If not, then ANY team has a shot.
Out west, it all depends on Tim Duncan. If he's healthy then the Spurs should cruise. Otherwise, its a toss up with 7th seed Denver having as good of a chance to win it all as anybody. The Nugs are for real.

Something tells me that Shaq with a hobbled leg, broken leg, no leg at that, would still dominate any center in the league.

Ok, I said I wouldn't talk to LUFan until he registered but he has won the war of attrition and outlasted me. I couldn't resist...1st Reggie. One of the best shooters ever, one of the clutch players of our time and fun to watch. Glad he is going out on top. I never had a problem with him as there was no real rivalry between he and the Sixers. His best chance to win a ring was that team with Smits and Travis Best, Mark Jackson etc. Still a great career without the ring....Pacers could be an early round knockout. Sixers over Pistons in 6. Just from the heart no real logic to that pick. Shaq being hurt really changes things in the East. Don't sleep on New Jersey and Denver. Clearly playing the best ball right now in their respective conferences.

Okay, back to reality. If memory serves correct, the Pistons did finish the season winning 11 straight before losing the last game of the season. They have no problems matching up with the Heat, or any team in the West for that matter. They have the most playoff experience, and are still defending champs.

Spoken like a true Michigander. Pistons have as good a shot as anyone to get to the finals. I am not making any real predictions this spring. I just hope Philly does well.

The only reason they could run off 11 straight is because they wetre playing eastern conference opponents. If Shaq is healthy, the Heat are a sizable notch above the Pistons. But perhaps they have some more magic left in the tank after last season's shocker in the Finals.
Put the Pistons in the West and they would be the 7th or 8th best team in the conference. But geography is on their side.

You know, the whole Western conference is so much better than the East has been one of the most exaggerated arguements in sports the last couple of years. Yes, it has more quality teams, but putting Detroit at the bottom is ridiculous. Detroit, Miami, and Indy (with a full squad), could easily match up with Phoenix, San Antonio, and especially Dallas. The Pistons didn't have luck or magic last year, they were the best team, from start to finish. And they're still better than Miami.

Don't take SLY too seriously aLUmnus- he drinks that Mexican water down there and has a steady diet of cactus. I'd take the water from Jersey any day- and that stuff is 99.9% sewage from Manhattan.
