As Chris mentioned in the fishwrap this morning, the wolves will be howling if things don't turn around pronto. But most of our regulars will be at the stadium enjoying the homecoming festivities (even if not the game). But if you can't make it and you are following along either by television or radio telecast, stop by here and share your thoughts.

I guess I was the only one who made it by here during the game (after I replaced a garbage disposal).
We're only down three heading to the 4th! And we finally scored!

I'll take the lack of participation online as a testament to a good crowd at the stadium.

I'm here Sly! Nice to see that we have scored and were not getting blown out. Can't bear to listen to the game. I guess I think that I will bring bad luck. Later!

We're early in 4th and I started listening midway through the 3rd. It sounds like a classic battle of inept squads.

Starting on own 34 with just over 9 minutes to play. Can we get any offense going long enough to tie this thing up?

Bless our defense....and the angle of that FG attempt. A "W" is a "W". See you folks next year in Lexington.

My heart goes out to Ben Beasley. I was at the game and that looked like a pretty good kick. I hope he isn't the worse for wear mentally

I don't understand why we didn't run straight up the middle to get a good angle for the FG. Also why the last play of the game we ran to Greisser??? He hasn't played all year and we put him in crunch time. Also he loses a year of eligibility. WHy waste a year when we could have redshirted on a 1-11 season? Where was Terrell? He had the best pass on a trick play in the first half but WR dropped the ball but he was hardly in the game at all. Very frustrating. It was very hot today and had 11000+ at the game. I do feel for the kicker but if it wasn't for a dropped pass and penalty on the 3 yard line it could have been 21-10. Only IF......

Just a note: that kick was Zac Kolegue-Beasley does kick-offs. It was disappointing for everyone! Let's hold our breath for CS...

Congratulations to our football team, who reached the scoreboard after 227 minutes without doing so.
To put that into perspective, that was one minute shorter than the entire movie of "Lawrence of Arabia."
(But still longer than the Director's cut of Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers)

There is something else that we are quite good at. And that is choking when it matters the most. I was at work but listened to the game while at work. A touchdown called back because of a hold and then an interception at the 5 yard line. At least defensively we played at a mediocre rating. Choking is something that we do when we have a good drive and the offense just sputters via an interception or something else.

The crowd was a little over 11,000.

Yes, there were lots of alumni there. So the atmosphere was good...and the game was close...I think we did set the record for longest time w/o scoring in D1.
I actually thought we were going to win on that last drive.

Yes...being in the press box, the official time without scoring was 227:06, and it was 14 straight quarters.

Frustrating doesn't begin to say it. 1st: Talking to a friend of Greisers: he never had the RS- he evidently played in the first game on special teams (?) still researching that but its NOT the first time I've heard it, this was DIRECT second hand info- Ryan to my buddy to me. anyway- a nice play to him on the last drive- and its hard to defense a kid you have no game film on- an unknown threat , so to speak. 2nd: Zach T. WAS ineffective- I believe due to the fact that VMI keyed on him (pun not intended) and game planned for him successfully- the kid couldn't breathe all day long.

I Tivo'd the game but could only watch a little of it knowing the outcome. I did go to the key (pun intended) plays of the game and that holding call was legitimate. The score would not have happened if not for the hold. Fsn32, you dodged a bullet. Your dropped pass on the sidelines was not captured by the cameras. However me and givemethemic and BigSmooth will always remember "the drop." We kid because we love. :-)... The Big South telecast production wise was good (Flames Television Network crew) but not that excited about the rest (Ray Jones and Tim Scarborough would have brought this game to life!) Ok, so I couldn't be more biased but it would be nice to use the on air talent if you are going to use our entire crew! Ok, thats all I will say on that Subject.
