This is a bit surprising, but i would welcome him to the big south. anytime the BSC can get good coaches, to help raise the league profile im for, esp. if he could get VMI to respectability.
Georgia Southern coach talking with VMI The Roanoke Times
Former Georgia Southern coach Mike Sewak said Sunday he has been contacted by a VMI official about the Keydets' coaching vacancy.
Sewak, a former Southern Conference coach of the year, said he would be interested in talking more with VMI.
A 1981 graduate of Virginia, Sewak was 35-14 in four years at Georgia Southern. He led the Eagles to the 2002 Division I-AA semifinals but was fired last month after the team lost in the first round of the playoffs a second straight year.

I think Sewak has been surprisingly underwhelmed by the interest in him. I'd be curious to see how he does without the Georgia Southern machine operating around him. His gadget offense might be just what the Keydets need to compete on a much higher level without the top athletes.

is the general consensus on him that he underachieves? that he should have done more w/ the talent/ program he had down there?

GSU is used to going deep in the playoffs, and the past two years are disappointing in their eyes. i would love to be in their shoes right now!
