Well, I was right on Jennings and said that Tyler Tipton was not coming, this was brought to my attention last week and just got confromation that this is going to be a strong possibility but former Jefferson Forest standout and current LB Stevie Ray Lloyd is considering to come to LU and play in the fall. He would have 2 years left. This would be another great land and make our defense more solid.

Looks like he has some potential. He had about 13 tackle primarily on special teams his Freshman year. His Sophomore season was screwed up since he missed Spring ball due to an injury so that would have put him behind. Hopefully he will committ since we need some help on defence.

Tis the season for I-A transfers. I hope this turns out to be true. The more talent the better on campus.

lloyd would be a good pickup. i remember when he was playing at JF. These are the type of players LU could be getting if we were recruiting better locally. i think coach rocco will change that.

Like I said yesterday, and am glad to say today, Stevie Ray is basically a done deal. This coming from 3 soild sources. I have talked to Rashad several times since he has been back over the break and he is really excited to take our football program to the next level. September can't get here fast enough. Bring on Wake Forest.........

This is really great news for football. Based on what I have read on him it looks like he would start and make an immediate impact on defense. Stevie Ray, Rojas, and Duke would be a pretty good trio at LB. I would feel even better if some "Big Uglies" came in.

Rojas may be too busy being Dorm Linebacker. Ok, that was a joke.
LU's gonna surprise some people in the Big South next year.

We certainly could use more help at LB. Depth was a huge issue for us this past fall and with Manny having just one season left it magnified.
