Karcher has not proven himself as a head football coach. I don't think it is going to happen for him in terms of getting a head coaching position. But I guess we will see what happens.

Sly, this is for a high school position, not Valdosta State.

You are correct, Chris. I just made a poor assumption. Obviously, that high school is a national powerhouse as well. Interesting nonetheless.

I'm a firm believer that he would make a good CEO somewhere...he's a smart businessman, he's a very good leader, he just wont motivate...so a CEO in anything but Sales...but maybe just try the front office on a football team, not on the field

Ugh. You put Karcher in charge of the Sahara, and it'd run out of sand.
If he really wanted the job at Valdosa High School, he should say "listen, you guys don't have to pay me for the next four years. I'll work for free. You're going to pay me less than what I'll be earning as part of my severance package, and any money that you would pay me would be deducted from Liberty's share of that package. So, don't pay me."

Knowing Valdosta High School, they'd rather pay, and pay big, rather than have somone work for "free" that's not going to produce. That high school and their community is Valdosta football crazy! You ever seen their stadium? Many colleges would envy it.

Valdosta is a good program. I didnt keep up with them last year but the years before, they would beat some of the best teams in Florida like Lincoln up in Tally. The coaching canidate from Armwood though will likely get the job though. I havn't heard why he is leaving though. He had a dynasty going on over there.
