Sorry Tribe...it was good being there for Volleyball, a great match played by both teams, but this is something a little bit different (yall are really good, and um, we're not). As far as continuing the series, well, it was good playin y'all, maybe we'll meet again in ten years.

Look for Noah Crouch to have a record day punting. I predict that he'll be named the prestigious special teams player of the year for the Big South(the best 5 school football conference that doesn't get an automatic qualifier for NCAA playoffs).
Maybe LU should schedule all DII schools for it's non-conference schedule. Liberty always seems to shoot themselves in the foot when they got to play a killer opening schedule. The next team Liberty has a chance to beat is Chuck South Nov 12th.
LU has no right to move conferences with an underachieving football program. LU first needs to establish a winning tradition. At the moment the talent needed to field a proven winner isn't there or isn't being trained, coached well. Let the rebuilding begin.....again!
Season Prediction: 3-8

I've never been to W&M and am planning to this week--anyone know about parking and ticket prices? Sideline are $23 and endzone are $17. Kids are $5. If you get endzone, ask for the North stand, which is closest to Liberty sideline section (South is nearly sold out anyway). You can park at W&M Hall lot, which is a short walk from the stadium. Best way to get there from the west is to take the Rt. 199 East/Lightfoot exit from I-64. Go about 6 miles to the Monticello Ave. exit. Bear left coming down the ramp and turn left at light onto Monticello. Go through the first light (about 1 mile) and then take first right (about 1/2 mile) at sign for College of William and Mary. This road leads directly to W&M Hall lot. You can also try to find on-street along Richmond Rd. or Lafayette St., but this is dicey unless you get there early. Parking around the stadium is all reserved. Have a safe trip.

Imagine LU selling tickets for $17 or $23? we'd have about 10 people out there!

10 people? That's an understatement. From what I've heard, LU football has 24 season ticket holders.
LU women's basketball has 25. (Men's b-ball has something like 42).

Those are some shameful numbers. I hope that these numbers will improve with the new AD. They need something like at least 5,000 season holders for each of these major sports like Football, men's and women's basketball. Football needs to put a winning team out there first and then maybe they will attract the season ticket holders. The students need to get behind the Men's and women's basketball teams. Football I don't blame the students for really not getting behind them at the state the football team is at right now.

I used to get season tickets every year in the 1990's thru 2003 and attend about 3-4 football games a year. The reason why I stopped is due to some of the poor decisions on and off the field that I have have heard about and some of the awful performances on the football field. It seems like our priorities are changing, standards are being lowered, and I right now I don't see much of a future for our football team unless the AD makes some significant changes to the organizational structure of the program. It seems like admin and the coaches say one thing and then do something entirely different than what is published. And truthfully it all started with our decision to join the Big South conference in football which I believe lower our standards of how we measure success. After that was finallized it was one thing after another and now with all of the issues brought about on this website the problems on and off the field will continue unless the AD steps in and does something about it.

Definitely agree about Noah Crouch having a record day punting on Saturday. I think he'll have an amazing game. Agreed on the STPOY too. Thanks for the info on W & M. Sometimes I forget how some schools actually have stands that fill up... I'm hoping that LU's going to get SOMETHING together for Saturday, be it the option or WHATEVER they have to do.
