This was about what I expected. I hope Rojas can get healthy. Need to get a win vs. YSU. We lose to YSU we're staring at 1-3 coming out of September.
lots of work to do.

We are going to lose to YSU on Saturday. Unless some drastic turn of events happen.

YSU is not a bunch of world beaters. I mean we were totally overmatched today. I do think we showed some new wrinkles offensively. I like mixing Terrel into the QB rotation. I wouldn't be surprised to see him as the starter before the end of the year. I think the next two weeks will tell just how far along we are.

We only stopped them on offense once the entire game. Terrell has potential. Hopefully he will get the chance to play next week. Exciting player to watch from what I heard. Good couple of points HBF. UConn is too big for us. Potentially a top 25 team by the time the season ends.

I was majorly disappointed with the D. I thought we would get a couple of stops and at least keep it respectable. The stats confirmed what I listened to on the radio - UConn stuck it right in our ear! My only hope is that when we play people of equal talent we are competitive.
Today is a tough measuring stick because we were completely overmatched. the good news is we won't face this type of talent the remainder of the year.

Could've been worse...you could've lost to Presbyterian, 42-0, like CSU did.

Ouch! Very bad loss indeed.

That Chuck South score will do more to damage the Big South's reputation than our results in East Hartford.
I sure picked a good day to have to miss a game due to defensive driving.
The only positive you can take out of day like this one is that we were able to get some kids some on the field in live action. Granted, they were completely overmatched. But it will only get easier for them the next time they get on ethe field. Everything will seem like its in slow motion compared to what the Huskies brought at us this afternoon.

other things that evidently didn't help-
Rushing: 29 yards on 28 attmpts (avg. 1 yd/attmpt)
Turnovers: 1 INT, 3 FUMBLES (inexcusable, no matter who you're playing)

almost forgot 9 total 1st downs and 1 for 7 on 3rd downs.
But the rushing effort made the passing game (11 for 16, 131 total yds) look stunningly efficient.

I was afraid that this was going to happen. Thank God that I didn't bother making the effort to listen to that. Is UConn that good or is LU that bad. Should find out in the next 2 weeks when we play a couple top 1AA teams. The BSC games don't mean anything at this point. The stats are as ugly as the score is. Would have been nice to score some points. I guess it is too early to start the "Fire Karcher" thread again.

UConn IS that good, and LU IS DEFNITELY that bad. Unless things turn around for this team, we will have a losing season this year. I guess the next couple of weeks we will find out if we will in fact have a losing season. LU right now is just plain despicable. Hopefully that will change.

let's not jump off the bridge and into the james river. UConn is a solid football team. we all knew we would be 1-1 at this point. we do have lots of work to do to be a good football team, but this game is not a measuring stick. YSU is not a great team, and we will play a better game. karcher will have our boys ready

smooth -
Again I think you are on the money. The next two weeks will tell the tale in my opinion as to what we can expect the rest of the way. The jury is still very much out as far as I am concerned. CCU may also be the real deal - last I saw JMU was up 20-17.

bigsmooth speaks much wisdom, Tonto.
I think most of us were hoping for a better showing against UConn. But I think we knew in our hearts what kind of outcome to expect. They are where we aspire to be a decade from now. But we aren't ready for them yet. But you have to play these games in order to remind us of the work ahead. And hey, I'd much rather get ripped by a Big East school than beat a DII school anyday of the week. Eventually we'll start closing the gap. But you are only as good as the competition you face.

I listened to it live- a unbelievable rally and they went 93 yds in the last 2 min (John Elway style ) to win it at home. They are def for real.

The Big South just got a HUGE jolt of credibility thanks to the Chants. They took down the #1 team in the nation ... not to mention the defending National Champs.
Congrats Chants!

Congratulations to CCU on their big win. I listened to their head coach on the radio this morning and he (CCU's Head Coach) didn't sound confident that his team would even be in this game. It could be a two peat for CCU in the Big South maybe.

I grew up a Buckeye fan in Ohio. But I know a bunch of the kids on the Longhorns and I'm married to a Horn. So I'm hoping they'll stop giving this game away on turnovers.
Vince is unstoppable ... but he's had some barin farts tonight.
