The next 5 day stretch is going to be brutal. The 5th @hpu, the 8th @wu, and the 10th vs BSC. The top 3 teams in the league and we're playing them in a 5 day stretch with 2 of them being on the road. I'm not even sure if students will be back for the BSC game either. This could get ugly real fast folks and it's not even necisarrily an indicator of where this team is at right now. This team will give up on the rest of the season if we get buried. I'm a little worried.

WU and BSC are 2 of the top teams, but HPU? They haven't proven anything yet this year and seem to be in only a slightly better form than us. I'd say HPU is our one decent chance at a win in the first three games.
I agree though, it could get brutal if things go bad early and these are not the 3 games that I want to start the schedule with.

I take back the "slightly", but they still don't look significantly better than us.

I know, they're real overrated thus far, but they're capable of taking the wole league. It's just a matter of Lundy getting them to do it. Which he is currently failing.
Why don't you sign up and stay a while. Just don't tell Jack to come over here. We don't want him.

Its good to see you over on this board, Duntonville. Its nice to be able to intelligently discuss LU sports without Radford knuckleheads cluttering things up (although a few post here from time to time). I have to admit I'm not familiar with Jack Sparrow other than his reputation from posters on the Big South board when I drop by there from time to time. I get the impression that his persona may be some sort of schtick.
As for the main topic of this thread, I share the concerns of LUconn. Losing is a habit that is tought to break. And while these are the top challengers in the Big South we are preparing to face, they should be a little easier to handle than most of our recent opponents. Perhaps the idea of being on a more level playing field will give our guys some much-needed confidence.
