It looks that for now the Men's Basketball team will be practicing friday evening in the Schilling (Closed Obviously) and will have Midnight Madness at 10:30 in the Vines after the concert for college for a weekend.

Unless it has changed since Flames Club today... it is suppose to be in the Student Center not the Vines. Just an FYI.

Midnight Madness is seriously in the Lahaye Student Center this year? I knew the volleyball game was going on on Friday. I would have thought that it would have been at the Vines Center after the game was over. SCAR maybe I will see you there. I have to work at Williams Stadium first (LCA football, who is undefeated thus far) but after that is over then I will jet over there. Anymore news concerning the Men's Basketball team SCAR?

Not much else Sportscritc other than I think they will be good. As coach D mentioned earlier we should see Russell Monroe step into a more active role at the 5 position and that Jeremy Eck is a more skilled Glenn Turner or Jason Sarchett. I think Bigby, Eck and Hubbard are really going to contribute due to their experience as JUCO players. Interesting note is that there is not 1 senior on this team or the Women's team. Larry Blair will have to assert himself as a leader on this team and I think he will do that. Risher and Holland should be able to handle running the team but I thought coaches comments about Hubbard playing some point at 6-6 is an exciting prospect as well. The last 2 seasons I have been able to spend a whole lot of time with the team this time of year but this year I'm in Northern, VA. I keep up with the players via telephone and email and when I see them in Lynchburg when I am there. Of course I speak with coach D an the staff as well as some other "insiders." The morale of the team is as strong as I have seen it in the past 3 years and I am looking forward to Friday night! Critic, I will see you there...I may catch the end of Liberty Christian Academy's game too.

Not sure what is going on otherwise as far as in the house sound system etc.

The Midnight Madness had a decent turn-out. It was tough for everyone to get a good view since there are no stands in the student center and there was only so much standing room. The best year ever for the M.M. was when it was in Schilling a couple years ago and Toby Mac was a fellow dunk judge. That was a great atmosphere. Maybe next year they will move it back there. As far as the dunk contest... Larry was sick... 3 perfect scores...

So it was Larry winning and not Anthony.
I checked out all the pics you put up online at the THe Light's site. Very nice.
But yeah, they need to hold that event at Schilling if they expect anything more than a hundred folks or so.

is that katie in the background? looks like it to me too. Their season is done and I thought I read somewhere she was graduating this fall or finishing up courses or something? I think it was in the story on her winning the BSOUTH Player Of The Year.

Katie's back to finish her degree. I think she's student teaching this fall, too.

FSN32 that midnight madness from a couple of years ago was the one I hosted and I got Toby to stop by that night because I knew he would be ending his concert about the time we were getting started. It was in the Schilling and we had a decent CFW turnout (college for a Weekend). I got there too late to host last night (work and DC traffic). Larry has 2 dunking crowns under his belt. Anthony Smith told me he had no legs last night because they went hard in Practice just a couple of hours before the festivities. The boys looked pretty good in practice this morning at the Schilling though.
