Those are very tongue in cheek. Obviously, we are not better than 10-2 Pitt. Buit just seeing Savannah State's ever burgeoning dismay makes me feel better about our situation.

Oh, we're not on it anymore. Apparently we did something to get off of it. I guess you have to hit back to week 7 to see us. The whole idea of that list is to basically ridicule 10 teams of their choosing. Obviously Pitt and NCSU are not 2 of the 10 worst teams in the land.

Well, the Sagarin ratings have us at 320 of 332 Division I teams, so we're perilously close to bottom 10 status. Geez, that Marist win certainly helped, didn't it?
Of course, I don't really care, just as long as we win the stinkin' conference. If that doesn't happen, well... whatever. I still support Randy Dunton. Why? Because he won last year, and I knew how bad it was before... Here are the Sagarin ratings for the last few years:::
2003-04 - 188 (of 326) 2002-03 - 275 (of 327) :::MEL HANKINSON ERA::: 2001-02 - 320 (of 327) 2000-01 - 275 (of 325) 1999-00 - 260 (of 319) 1998-99 - 313 (of 315)
So we with Hanky at the helm, we went from last... to last. Even if Dunton takes us back to last, well, at least we got a championship banner out of it. Unlike some LU coaches we know, who just happened to get a five year contract...

I have to agree with Endantes about Dunton.
I can see giving him at least 2 more years after this based on his ability to win it all last year (a thing we hadn't done in 10 years).
Furthermore, I really think this season would be a lot different if we just had a good post player. And Dunton and his assistants almost had Elijah Miller come to Liberty as a freshman, if that would have happened...he would be playing now and New Hampshire and UNC Greensboro would have been in the win column. That being said, we have to wait until next year.
Hopefully Robinson and Monroe and Turner will keep improving and at least we can be competitive in the Big South. I wouldn't be terribly dissapointed if we finish 4th or higher in the regular season, so we at least get to play the first tourney game at home. I think this is a rebuilding year for LU, and I think after riding this out we still could have another break-through year again next year.
