I don't see it having the dramatic influence some foresee. We're not talking about moving it back four feet ... for quality shooters it will be a minimal difference.

interesting stuff. I wouldn't mind seeing it moved back some but it won't happen in the next couple of years. As far as adopting the charge/block circle under the basket, I wish they would have. Too many players flop under the goal trying to draw bogus charges. Good referees don't "fall for the banana in the tail pipe" however but I just think it is a cheap and dangerous play. They should do like hockey and punish the flopper. Vlade Divac would have had to retire 10 years ago if they did.

Punishing floppers will never happen, that would hurt Duke too much, and you don't want to make coach K angry, do you?

Funny. Duke does take it to a whole new level when it comes to laying down in front of drivers to the basket. That was a pet peeve of mine when I played competitively because I loved to drive to the goal. I had my share of legitimate charges but when a guy just lays down in front of you after you've made the shot and he gets the call...

hahahahahhahahaha Divac was the NBA's greatist actor when it came to that stuff. It was amusing seeing the look on his face and the hands in the air acting like he was just robbed out in public. I guess he gets it from his international buddies in the soccer business.

No, soccer players take it to a whole othe rlevel with their faking injuries. Sickening. There are plenty of bigtime floppers still in the league. Plenty.

I hate flopping for a charge as much as I hate a three-point shooter who falls after he shoots, trying to draw the foul from the ref, even though the defender didn't even come near him...JJ Red-ick does it often...
