I'll give credit where credit is due- though it may bite me in the rear: Realist, your last post was rational, well written, in fact- NEARLY palatable. Nicely done, and thanks for your input.

I agree with PA Medic, it was nicely written and it would all make sense except one thing, what about other people getting better? does that ever happen.......?

And even though our team had a few shortcomings this year - we were still really close. WU was better than us but not "Duke-like" better.

Just got back from ATL ( I hate that town), congrats to the Lady Flames for making a run. LSU is small I think so Shaq should have a good game, maybe keep it close.
Have you guys ever thought how Feenstra would hold up in the men's league?

gotta admit, I had the same thought. Maybe we shoulda suited the whole team for the mens BSC- woulda had a shot to beat WU that way!

Feenstra would take Rashaad Robinson to school. She is the best center in the Big south, period.

Okay, let's not start getting carried away. Men's - Women's basketball, two different sports.

Have you seen Rashaad play? I'm 5'10", overweight and stopped playing basketball in the 8th grade and I think I could take him. Just joking. Feenstra is a great player, but you are correct. There's a big difference between men's and womens basketball.

Or the Midwest (Ohio). Sarcasm is put into our formula when we are infants. Also, when you cheer for the Cleveland Browns and Indians your entire life sarcasm is the only thing that keeps you sane.

V88,
where you been? We have not heard too much from you this week. I know you are enjoying all this hoops success we are having this week....My heart still goes out to you for being born a Clevland but until we win a Super Bowl I can't feel too bad for you. I have celebrated a win in baseball, basketball and 2 in Hockey (Broad Street Bullys of the 70's) PA Medic knows what I am talking about.

Scar, yes I have been enjoying the success in basketball this week. Carey Green is a class act and his team and staff have done an amazing job! I hope we can keep coach Green. I don't want to turn this into a Cleveland post, but I hope the new owner of the Cavs spends some money to put a team around LaBron so he will stay with the Cavs and win an NBA title. As far as the Browns go, did you see who they signed as QB? Trent Dilfer. I can already hear the boos coming from the dog pound. Enough about Cleveland, back to the topic...

Ah, the glory days of renting a bunch of Reds retreads to scrounge up one World Series title in a lifetime. How sweet it must be. And sarcasm doesn't translate well to the web. Of course, understanding of sarcasm and humor in general is just a Philly thing that the rest of us don't get.

sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=2021706Okay, finally we have proof that Winthrop is a true "Mid-Major power". As you can read for yourselves, Tennessee is interviewing for it's head coaching jobs, and Mashall is- oh wait......Marshall's not on the list, with the other REAL mid-major schools. I guess Tennessee wasn't informed about Winthrop's new national exposure and dominant status among the mid-majors of college basketball. Oh well, maybe next year, or I heard there was a vacancy up at Eastern Kentucky. Someday the dream might be real enough that you'll remember it after you wake up, but I doubt it.

Your jealousy is funny Alumnus. I'm sorry your program cannot achieve national attention in anything other than female sports. Maybe you should adjust your priorities.

No doubt he's just arrived back in after all those massive campus-wide parties following the NATION WIDE respect gathering, mid-major power-brokering 10 pt loss to a mediocre team in the 1st round of the tourney. That kind of elation must take its toll.
REALIST: I'm KIDDING dude- welcome back
