I'll be heading up from Charleston this afternoon to catch the game tonight...I never like making any one game in the conference season to mean anything more than any of the others, but I think this game is very important for both teams. Obviously, nobody ever wants to be 0-2...Should be an interesting matchup since WU has struggled this year at times against good guards, and of course that is LU's strength. Looking at Woodson and Blair's turnover numbers, I think WU should try and press and trap as often as possible.
Either way, hope both teams are able to leave the Coliseum injury-free...good luck tonight.

At least we didn't get blown out. But losing by a deuce in OT really hurts. This was a golden opportunity to shake out of our funk.
The good news is that it appears Dees finally is beginning find his stroke.

Gotta give alot of credit to LU...they were down 21-6 early and looking terrible, but they quickly turned it around and it was a battle the rest of the way.

Great. Now we have to take on Birmingham-Southern and win, to prevent an 0-3 start in conference.
High Point (Big South runner-ups last year)... Winthrop (always strong in conference)... Birmingham-Southern (should have been the top seed last year)...
Does anyone else think that the Big South schedule-makers have it out for us?

Winthrop-Liberty game was nothing to hang our heads on. LU played with a lot of guts and heart. We stuck with them practically the whole game and had a shot at the end of regulation and OT to win.
Some might not agree, but i think the scheduling might end up helping LU this year. We are a young team and being on the road is always going to be tough, even for seniors. But we got the heart of our schedule and the meat of the games at home in front of the Vines crowd that should give us a lot of help. Staying positive...we pick up a win against Birm. Southern we got a chance to get three straight.

Here comes SAG with a ray of sunshine in an otherwise gloomy thread. Reading Joel Osteen's new book I assume?
