People,
I don't know if this is completely accurate but someone on the ESPN board posted the results of the tie-breakers. If they did it right (and that is a big if) then this is how it plays out. Again this is NOT official.
1. Winthrop 2. Liberty 3. UNCA 4. Birmingham Southern 5. Radford 6. Charleston Southern 7. High Point 8. Coastal Carolina
Danny Gathings may come a calling again!

Thanks for doing the legwork. At least now we know what we have in store for us.
Bring on CSU. Let's have the Vines Center on fire Tuesday night. By this time next week, we need to be making travel arrangements for the Big Dance.

Yeah, I thought my way of breaking the 5-way tie made more sense than the way the conference did it...but oh well, I was close (just had HPU and CSU switched).

Sly should be thanking you for doing the leg-work WinthropE I just got the info straight from your post at ESPN. It looks like Liberty still has High Point and Asheville in their bracket though. How about Winthrop getting Coastal, the only team to beat them. Do you think that the upset might happen? The second game for Winthrop I think will be a tough Radford team. Winthrop should be congratulated for winning 15 in a row. That is tough to do in any conference.

Agreed. Kudos are most certainly in order for Winthrop. The Eagles were most certainly worthy regular season champs. But this week'saction is what really counts.

I'm not sure how this road could suck much more. First CSU is a dangerous team right now. I wasn't pleased with our last matchup with them and I'm a littel worried about tonight. After that we get UNCA or HPU. Are you kidding? That sucks. We can beat either of those 2, obviously because we're 3-1 against them, but both of them have the ability to take us behind the woodshed. Then if we survive we get to go to rock hill. If we take this tourney, it will be the greatest accomplishment at LU thus far. Not on paper, but in my head.
But who knows, CCU took WU out already so lets see.

Greatest accomplishment in LU history is beating UVA at UVA in 1997-1998 with maybe 3 legitimate Division 1 basketball players. Another Randy Dunton accomplishment as interim head coach.

Does GOAT ever post without glossing himself? ;D
I agree that this bracket is far from a walk in the park. Outside of Winthrop, the margin for error anyone in the field is razor-thin.

I should have named myself GLOAT, you are right about the parity in the league. Hopefully Liberty will play like they did last year and peak in the championship game, wherever it is at! Knowing Dunton and his staff he will have everyones scouting report down to a T.
