Hi guys! I'm an ORU fan, and I wanted to tell you that we're excited to be playing you guys tonight. We've thought for a long time that an ORU/Liberty series was in order, and even though neither team is playing at home it's great that they're at least playing. We kept track of your game with Seton Hall last night, and you gave them about all they could handle. You just came up a little short in the end. If you'd like to visit our message board you'll find us at: orusports.com/talk/index.php?board=1.0Good luck tonight!

Thanks for dropping by, and please excuse our mess as we're currently relocating our real message board.
I'm sure the rest of the folks here will be able to give you quite a bit more discussion on the game than I can, but welcome to our temporary home!

We did the same thing a year or so ago, so we sure understand.

I really enjoyed the article about Liberty written by Kyle Whelliston from the Mid-Majority last year. In fact, I visited your message board at that time. I thought it was a well written, positive and upbeat article about your program and your founder, Dr. Jerry Falwell, by a self-proclaimed liberal. It showed your program is doing things right.

It was done in the midst of one of our worst seasons ever. So anything that could've been taken as positive was a plus.
BTW your site will make a nice second home for us tonight. Being stuck in these old temporary digs is seriously cramping my style. We seriously miss FlameFans. Hopefully the knuckleheads at the host we are leaving finally check their messages so we can get back on track.

Hello, Liberty fans! I am really looking forward to playing your team. You guys looked pretty good last night. ORU is led by 6'8 senior forward Caleb Green, and 6'2 senior guard Ken Tutt. Green fouled out last night with 4 minutes to go, and we couldn't quite hang on for the win against BYU last night. It's almost game time!

That one will sting all the way home. I thought the middle game was the chance. Too bad 0 for the trip. One more blowout and let the real fun begin. I still think by March we will have our shot. Stay positive.

Great, I petition for TB to get more playing time, he gets it, and he comes up with an 0-fer.

Man, I go away from the action for a few days and everybody has jumped off a bridge...
This is a bad time I understand, I hate the fact that we have lost six in a row just as much as the next guy (and the girls aren't helping much either), but this is not the time to give up the ship. Conference play gets going this week and I know the ladies will take care of business, but since this is the men's thread, I have faith in these guys. After I sat down with Coach Dunton a couple weeks ago, I really felt like we could have a good thing in the works here. Now watching these guys lose some heartbreakers and then get beat pretty soundly by Oral Roberts is a bummer, but Im not ready to man the lifeboats on this year. These guys need to give their all against Florida tomorrow, and hopefully once Im over the jet lag from this last trip, I will be refreshed and ready to come back to campus and support these guys.

hurry up with flamefans....I really don't like using this site after growing so accustomed to flamefans......We will have a lot to account for in the conference, or we could have a below .500 record.

I think this past week has been a great reminder why we so desperately needed FlameFans in the first place. Hopefully we'll be up and running soon.
I was talking Samkon today over at Reliant Stadium (who coincidentally was excited to hear about the weight equipment arriving at the FOC where he'll be training this spring) and I mentioned the site. As soon as it came out of my mouth, I regretting referring him to the site while its under construction/repairs.
As for the team, I'd love to see our guys increase their focus against the Gators even if we do get pounded. Florida is going to be great, but its our effort that I'll be watching. We need to hang onto the ball and try to find some rhythm.

I can think of something else I wish we could find, and it is not rhythm.

oh the dunton haters are out in full force. did nayone actually think we would win any games out there?? other than the ORU game, we played well against teams for high level conferences. we are having trouble closing out games, and winning on the road. i just hope the guys continue to play hard and get through this florida game so we can get to the games that really matter.

so we went out there to play 3 games in 3 days. Basically to train in a tournament type atmosphere. The team didn't win any games. Does that make that whole exercise pointless? I think so. They didn't really learn how to win in a short turnaround situation. I sure hope Florida is paying us a nice chunk of change.
