LU 84 WV State 78.
WV State actually led most of the game. Very scary. Blair looked good, Rashad Robinson looks like he'll be a good center.
Anyone know what happened to Woodson? Really need him at the point? I guess Turner didn't win his appeal either, looks like he is gone as well. - but Robinson looks like he'll do alright.

Glad to hear the report on Robinson. How did the makeshift backcourt look?
Its not encouraging that we need to rally to beat the WV States of the world. But it is early and this one didn't count.

Woodson is academically ineligible for the fall semester. He should be ready to go next semester. I wonder though if he might consider redshirting if he has the choice. He might want to play with that Houston transfer and the rest of the team next year to make it back to the tournament.

Blair looked amazing. Leo Lightborn must have worked hard in the offseason because he is much improved. Everyone else looked pretty bad. We have a bunch of freshman so of course they're not gonna look good. If they don't mature in a hurry we're gonna have a real bad regular season. Rashad Robinson looks good on D. He had a couple of bogus foul calls that got him pulled from the game. All in all I was dissappointed. WV St. was pretty good though. It was a D2 school but they played as good as any team in the Big South.
I really doubt that Woodson could redshirt if he's ineligible. That would defeat the purpose of his ineligiblity, which is a punishment for him being stupid in school. Which blows my mind after seeing all the help they get.

That would seem to make sense LUconn, but wasn't Sneed academically ineligible his senior year? Then he came back in his 5th year. Maybe he had already redshirted a season before, but I don't think so.
Regardless, we rEally need woodson this season. Without him I'd think we finish 4-6 in Big South. 2-4 with him.

I don't have quite as much confidence in Woodson. An assists/turnover ratio of 1.5 last year and a measly 5.3 points per game. Granted it's a better ratio than every other returner we have, I've just never been a Woodson fan. I think he's got a bad attitude. I'm hoping monceaux can step it up into the 1 spot even though he's played more of a 2 gaurd in the past. I think Evan Risher is gonna be the tentative floor general. My prediction is that Blair has to take it over though with Dees taking the SG spot.
