I was excited to read a write up tomorrow. Didn't the schedule have an exhibition match with JMU on 11/7? It disappeared. And nobody's talking about it. I was thinking about going, good thing I decided not to.

If the Flames are indeed playing JMU, then it has to be in a closed scrimmage setting, with no fans or media allowed, and therefore no promotion. The only teams that you play against in an exhibition game now are non-D1 schools (you can only play D1 schools in a closed scrimmage). So they likely took the JMU game off the on-line schedule (i remember seeing it too) so people wouldn't try and show up and watch the game (as they would have to be turned away).

The game (scrimmage) is on the road anyway at JMU not in Lynchburg.

Sorry fellas but it is a closes scrimmage. It is at JMU and I don't have the opportunity to drive to Harrisonburg to check on them but I will get a report from the staff and players for you guys later in the week. Last season JMU came to Liberty and they were pretty big but young. This will be a good test for our team. Dean Keener is the coach there and he has been at a lot of different places including UNCG back in the big South days, SMU and VA Tech. I got to know him a little and I think he will have JMU competing well in the CAA. WEF you are absolutely right about only being able to scrimmage against Non Division 1A schools. It was a mistake for LU to put that on the online schedule and in fact could have gotten them in trouble had they left it there because it is suppossed to be unadvertised and closed to the general public.

Coach Dunton spoke about it today and it didn't seem to thrilled about the performance. A lot of young guys that aren't experienced.
