Could you maybe elaborate on the whole UH, Elijah bad situation remark?

I didn't know his son has commited to Zona. What school does he go to? Someone will definetly hire Coach Wise. The kid from UH, Elijah is a good player? I haven't had a chance to see him play, nor have I heard anything about him. Steph is a good guy we talk from time to time. He was actually trying to sign a pg from Willowridge, Brandon Johnson/Thompson can't remember his last name. He eventually signed with San Deigo State. Coach Dunton actually talked to me about that kid, told me he was interested. The kid can play if you get a chance you should check him out.

First off, the "bad situation" I was referring to was the absolutely dreadful season he enduring a year ago as part of a ballyhooed local five that were supposed to turn around the UH program. Instead, point guard Lanny Smith (who starred for Greg Wise at Hightower HS) proved to be the only one of the five to make a dent on a bad Coogs team. Elijah's confidence appeared shaken and he never really had much of an opportunity to break out. But make no mistake, the kid has game. He was a star for Heritage Christian out of Cleveland, TX ... one of the handful of national touring high schools. He was getting looks from many of the big boys but after playing summers for Coach Leary he came VERY close to signing with LU out of high school (much to the amazement of many down here in Houston). Instead he signed with UH and after a miserable season that resulted in the coaching staff getting canned, he chose to transfer to Liberty after all. He's athletic and can play in the paint with some slashing ability. He'll be a VERY nice addition tot he lineup next season.
Nice Wise is now a junior for Kingwood. He committed to Arizona at the end of his freshman year at Cinco Ranch before playing a season for his dad at Hightower. Now he's part of a Kingwood squad that is ranked in the top 2-3 in the Greater Houston area.
Coach Leary has been working hard to land several kids down here this year after just missing out on Justin Benson a year to New Mexico. Hopefully we can land one of these guys.
