This is posted for several reasons: 1) We know this will deteriorate to hateraiders v koolaiders, so the temporariness of this board will save us 2) Only lureal,TBGBG, and Manger think we will win the Florida game so I am keeping that one out of the loop to give them the benefit of the doubt.
What team do we have? Which is more indicative of the team?

I, for one- though a wee panicky- am hoping that we have a decent showing in an obviously week conference. Enough, at least, to keep the fan base interested.
we lose the fans, it makes the job all that harder.

"we lose the fans, it makes the job all that harder."
I think we've already lost them over the past two years.

The fans should be there, because we will have a great year in the Big South. Seton Hall was VERY fast, and we stayed with them. The only bad game out there was ORU, and we will be better against the Big South. Brew is still getting his touch back, and that says a lot since he has been playing and shooting well. Blair is back on track offensively, and playing great defensively, and the others are working hard. Outstanding staff - all working together and believing in one another. It will be a great year.

We got down to Seton Hall by 16 and then collapsed in the last minute.
We got blown out by ORU.
We got blown out by Florida.
We have taken 51 less free throws than our opponents in the last four games. In this losing streak, we have shot 122 less free throws than our opponents. To put that in perspective, we haven't even shot 122 free throws in the last six games. There have been three games when we haven't even shot 10 free throws. We are content to sit around and shoot jumpers all day and have absolutely no inside presence. We had to put a SF at the 5 last night because our other two 5's got into foul trouble.
What's the standard here? Are we happy with .500 because we're staring it dead in the eye right now. I will be surprised if we beat Asheville in Asheville. That'll make it 20 straight road games that we have lost.

I'm so glad flamefans eliminated guest posting. I didn't realize how annoying it was.
But I guess the question is true: What is the standard? Certainly nobody's happy with the way things have gone. But that's how they've gone. Do you want a new coach because the team is below this vague standard? We'll pretty much get a new coach every season if that's your criteria. Is there some kind of formula? Like you have to have a .600 record over 5 years with at least 1 BSC ring. If no ring your record must be .750 or better, with an increase of 4 more wins per season. In the end all of the questions are for JB to answer. (I'm not saying we shouldnt discuss it, this board would be pretty dead if we didn't discuss things that we have no authority over. )

The fans should be there, because we will have a great year in the Big South. It will be a great year. So fans should be there because you are assuming this?? What if we are .500 in conference....that equates to bad in most conferences....okay in the big ones(ACC, Big East, SEC); bad in others (Big 12, Big Ten, Pac 10); and flat out a disgrace (Big South, Southern, Big West)....A great year involves the entire year, not just the beginning, not the end, or the conference tournament......RD will be gone regardless

Guest made some good points.

guest posting is better....more people say things without giving away their identities....most of us have nothing to lose by ours, that is why we need guest posting on flamefans

Guest posting sucks ... end of story. We've given it more than ample oportunity and it consistently is abused. And its not hard at all to disguise an identity through registration. So I don't think anyone is being kept away.

I was contacted by someone from Liberty about what was posted on Flamefans. Someone could be monitoring?
