Game tonight! Right after the women finish playing. We should have no problem with this team. They don't seem like they're very good and have historically not ever been good. We beat them 2 years ago I think, or maybe it was last year. They have a C that is supposed to be big and dominate scoring in the paint. He led scoring on the team last year and was injured for much of it. That's a big advantage for them. Their main scorer in the exhibition was a JR, Ioannis Karalis, who I'm sure Blair can handle. They have a Freshman forward who looks pretty good too. He might be tuff to gaurd as our Fs are freshman too. I see a 15 point win tonight. Hopefully our new guys will step it up. 85-70

That doesn't make any sense. Their gaurds look like they're are poor at best. It's all about how our big men play on D. Plus woodson isn't that great.
P.S. register on this board

Not exactly an awe-inspiring performance. But it is what it is for a Mid-November tuneup. You can't expect March intensity or execution this time of year every night.
And LUconn, your urging must have paid off with g2. Welcome aboard newest member.

I was somewhat dissapointed with the 1 point loss to New Hampshire. Sure looked like a game we should have won - we led most of the way.
The good part was that Blair didn't really seem to light it up like he normally does, and LU almost pulled it out anyway. Rashad Robinson didn't play nearly as well in the NH game as he did at WV State. We need him to make those lay-ups, hopefully he will come around.
Risher looked OK, an it looks like he'll be great in the future, bur right now I can't wait for Woodson to be back. Rough thing about losing to NH is that it might be awhile before LU gets its first 1A win now, with Arkansas State and Western Carolina the next two games on the road.
Looks like this will be a rebuilding year, but I'm hoping that the team can come together in time for conference play and make a decent run.

UNH was not good at all. We lead by 5-10 for much of the game and just fell apart in the last 5 minutes. I was very wrong about woodson. He was our only PG. Risher is terrible. He can't pass at all. We look like we're just having a good time passing around the 3 point line for 20 seconds. Rashad Robinson had a bad game. He stepped it up in the last couple minutes. Even though he missed the game tying free throw. But what can you expect from a center that isnt named Sarchet. Bright spot: Our very own Butternut homeschool league champ, Russel Monroe. This kid is good. He's got good hands. He's tall and has a 15 foot jumper that is money! Dunton needs to give this freshman as much PT as possible. But he didn't for some reason. Anyway, as much as I don't like him, we need woodson. This is gonna be a long semester without him.

Was anyone watching Monroe's defense? (could that have been the reason he wasn't playing much, along with his what..0 or 1 rebound)

His D is fine. It wasn't anything special. I think he might have even had a blocked shot. I think Dunton was just trying to play Robinson through his funk or whatever was wrong with him. I don't know though, as great of a recruiter as Dunton is, I've always been a little critical of his game time coaching.
