McLane (sp) out of NY has changed his mind (again) and is now going to come as of last night....he is 6'7' 235lbs and could be what we were missing down low...as for the first reason why he wasnt going to come, some are saying they were bluffing to see what type program LU is running....the truth...who knows....but this could be very good news to pick up a THICK body down low

OK, for those of us who have been out of this loop could someone tell us if this is a HS kid who is enrolling during Christmas break or a JUCO transfer?
The fact he would come in midseason seems unusual but not completely out of the ordinary.

I just hope he's not another big man out of the Butternut home school program...we've already seen enough of that action.

He's a JUCO transfer, thats the only reason he'll be able to play next semester...pretty much like the Woodson thing

Man, you're crazy. If that Butternut's lightbulb ever goes on, he'll be unstoppable.

Actually he did play two years for the Butternut Homeschoolers. However, he didn't outrebound Russell.

Guys this is no hoax. As I had previously mentioned in a post under the Battle of Lynchburg I met Alex Mclean and he looks well built (meaning strong, tall and lean). What I know is that he graduated high school from Bay Shore (Long Island, NY). I don't know the name of the Junior College he attended but stated that they had just won a national championship. Scar got to meet him as well and maybe when he logs in will be able to shed some more light.

The best I can tell is that he played for Nassau Community College for two years. I found where another guy who meets the description who played for Division II Queens College:

From Dunton on this board: "Sly-The transfer has enrolled in our business program and will be in practice in January. Then starting next fall have two years of eligibility. We are not going to play him this year."

The door for playing him is not yet closed, if they think he is good enough to take this team somewhere then, we may see him this year...they dont even know what to expect with this kid, if plays as good as he dresses he'll be in the NBA...he was bling'd out on campus and looked the part of a "balla" his build is a lot like A. Mason that used to play for the Knicks and had that HUGE chest like he kept a midget in there....excuse me, little person
