Not really other than the fact that I posted this news back on the LOI thread back in late April. I didn't give his name though. I have not met Alexis yet but I will welcome him to the Liberty family when I see him. It is good to keep at least 1 brotha on the staff if you are going to recruit black players.

I'm guessing he just didn't want to move. Where else could he commute to?

LUConn since you live in the north I can only assume you have driven from Charlottesville on Rt 29 a hundred times. You can testify to the fact that time seems to stand still on that stretch of road. Plus there are cops everywhere so you really can't speed. I have the honor of doing that trip each week. Not fun. Hopefully Sherard will move his family to Lynchburg.

I'm guessing being gainfully employed was a prime attraction moreso than location. Having gone down the laid off road myself in the past year, I fully understand.
Welcome aboard, Alexis. Hopefully his Northeastern connections can fill the gap left by Stephon's Texas pipeline.
What about the other opening? Any word?

That is the worst road in America. The biggest road to run the length of the state in the middle and 55 the whole way. That's preposterous and the cops know it! I averaged about 1 ticket on 29 per semester. As for his commute, i figured maybe he lived this side of charlottesville so it wouldnt be as bad.

It worse from the north carolina border in greensboro to lynchburg. its one lane part of the way near the border, then its all windy and slick from danville to Lynchburg. if you drove it during the day you were most likley going to get pulled over for going above and beyond 55. and night, you couldnt see jack. no lights and fog. i guess the cops thought the same thing and stayed off the road during that time. 2nd worst road is 460 going east toward farmville. same nonsense. 3rd worst road 501 going towards lexington. that could arguably be first but i only traveled it a couple of times. the scenery is great but the road is insane

Well...I do have some good news...29 is no longer single lane anywhere and is 65 in North Carolina and in some portions of Virginia. I found this out in my couple of journeys down to NC for the BSC VBall tourney at UNCA and to watch our women beat High Point at High Point.
Also, 460 goin west towards Roanoke now also has a 65 portion...and they're workin on it goin East out to Farmville (where I live).

I have had a chance to met Alexis and he seems like a really nice guy. He has already brought in a couple of decent players (recruits) to play with the team. How many great players are you going to find this late. One of the guys I think they signed is not very good though, I will get his name at a later time.
I agree with Scar, 29 North to Charlottesville is the worst stretch of highway in this area, with 29 South to Greensboro a close second.
Sly, how about the stretch from Houston to PV and or College Station, (I think it's 1090) I hate that.

every road in houston is nuts. During a (L)astros night game this year. for some unknown reason they made 59 a one lane highway which was just ludicrous. The craziest road though in Texas is arugbaly 183 and 35 through Austin

Jack --- 59 between the 288-Split & Shepherd is under construction and is always a mess everyday, all-day until they finish that project. Take 288 between downtown and the 610 Loop and then either US-90 down to Sugarland or ride the Loop up to 59. For the record, Highway 35 from Alvin down to Port Lavaca is a mega-crappy road IMHO.
Formerplayer -- 290 is now a fantastic freeway all the way past Prairie View and Highway 6 up to Collie Station isn't that bad either. You can get to the Babydome from H-Town in nothing flat. You even have time to stop for Williams chicken before games. BTW, Jerry Francis got canned over there and Cynthia Cooper is now the womens coach at PVU.
