Can anybody figure out this BSC squad? They start the season looking like the team to beat in the Big South. Then they start losing to schools they have no business struggling with. They head into Saturday afternoon's showdown in 'Bama with a 4-5 record in league play. But they are comign off a victory Monday at Dedmon ... something we couldn't manage.
Bottom line, I'm more nervous about this one more than the HPU contest at home. If we want to remain int he hunt with Winthrop, we really could use a big road victory like this one.

Sly you are so right. BSC is having a strange season. I have watched that Radford game twice and what I noticed is that Radford played really flat in the first half and dug a hole that they couldn't quite get out of. Even still Radford had 2 free throws that would have tied the game and WHF missed. I think we are capable of beating BSC down there but it will take a good game from everyone on the team. I wish it were closer so I could go. Birmingham is geographically unattractive but they are in the conference so lets go get em.

Its too bad Birmingham is so far away from Lynchburg. But frankly, I wish it were a little further towards me. From a personal standpoint, we need more games scheduled in Texas. A road victory down deep in the heart of the Old South would keep us on track for another shot at hosting the tourney.

3:00 today the Flames will be going for their first win in Bill Battle Coliseum. It is not going to be easy on the road. I think we will play with a lot of energy though. The team flew out yesterday. BSC drives up here when they play in Lynchburg. This gives me something to look forward to besides the SuperBowl tomorrow. I can hardly contain myself. I need to focus on the Flames first though. Hopefully Leo and Brian will play the way they played against HPU. We shall see at 3.

73-69! Bigtime victory on the road. We now essentially hold our own destiny as we open this HUGE 3-game homestand down the stretch.
Its a bigtime relief to return home from 'Bama unscathed.

What a relief. It's great to see these guys consistently pull together in the last 5 minutes to pick up wins.
I'm almost so confident that we'll get the first 2 tournament games at home that I may go out and get Sky Angel.
Does anyone know if I could have it up and running by Thursday night if I took care of things Tuesday (or Monday night)?

Another Q..will they show the first two games on FTN even if they are away?

Duntonville,
forgive me if I can't answer your question about SkyAngel. I am not sure how soon you can get it up and running. I do know that Thursday will be as intense as the High Point game the other night. I can answer your second question. The Quarterfinal game will be broadcast on FTN and Ray Jones and myself will be calling the game. The semi-final games will be at 2 different sites but BSTN (Big South Television Network) will broadcast both games on CSTV (College Sports TV) but I think Liberty Channel will at least televise the Liberty Semi-Final. The Final game will be on ESPN 2 regardless of where it is played or who is playing....As for the team, the boys really rallied down the stretch on the road. I am proud of them and it really sets up a great game for Thursday especially if Winthrop loses to Asheville on Monday and/or at High Point on Tuesday. Only 2 road games left and one is at winless VMI but it will still be tough to go to Lexington and win because they Cadets will be out to support their Keydets vs. Falwell's boys. They hate Liberty.

It can take up to three days I think for Sky Angel and Dish Network to process all your info, so if you want the game on Thursday, I think you'd better try and sign up Monday! I think it took about 2 days from the time my parents signed up until it was working.
Good luck.
