Welcome aboard, Thespy. An actor, perhaps?
We are just about to break triple-digits in membership with over 5k posts. I can't wait to see this place jumping come football season.

Funny, when I first saw the name thespy I thought: The Spy
So are you an actor, a spy, or a clown?

I hadn't even thought of "The Spy". But this does bring to me the classic SNL skit with the phony Sean Connery. "I'll take the rapist for $200, Alex".

I'm guessing thespy may be our old friend Realist. If so, thanks for finally taking the plunge.

I just assumed if you were ever to register, it would be under a pseudonym. You're always welcome to join, my brother.
There are several of us who were among the first registered users on Jeremy's Winthropfans site.

Sly Fox is the internet dominator. Give him credit he is dedicated. I know in Texas they have to crawl up on top of their houses to make phone calls - kind of like Green Acres - Hooterville. I wonder if he takes his laptop up on the roof to post? I bet it's really hot up on that roof in the middle of a Texas summer.

Yes, actually it is the spy. No need to be suspicious---just an easy thing to remember. Poor "Realist"---I didn't mean to make anyone jump to any conclusions. And NO--I am not a commie. How many of you actually attended/graduated from LU? It seems that a lot of you came from other states. What made you pick LU?

Most everyone on this board, with the exception of a few lurkers from rival schools and LSU (go check the womens hoops forum), is either a current or former LU student.
The vast majority of our student body has always come from outside the Commonwealth of Virginia. We have students come from all 50 states and a slew of foreign countries every year.
As for your spy status, will you at least share your allegiances with us?

Hey Sly-just getting a chance to read your reply. I have very little time to dedicate to the computer. I went to a trade school of sorts and got an associates degree in business administration. Now I am rethinking the whole thing and trying to decide what direction to go in--stick with this or go for a degree in something entirely different. Hard choice.

I completely understand your dilemma. I began college with a plan and even got a degree in it in just 3.5 years. But while the degree helped me get my foot int he door of my current profession, it wasn't exactly what I originally had in mind.
You're going to live with whatever decision you make for a great deal of time. So make sure it is something you wouldn't mind doing for that long. And don't let monetary issues be a driving force. All the money in the world can't make you feel better in a job you hate.

we're off topic AGAIN, but I'll add my 2 cents tho' no one asked. A close family member of mine graduated w/ a degree in criminal justice, then abandoned his goal of law enforcement and now is a successful financial manager for a very large global firm. go figure.

Thanks for the input. Does anyone have any experience with online credits/programs? Worth while or a waste of time?

I love online credits. It's typical adult learning. If you are a good reader and love working independently the online format is perfect. I am in the LUMBA distance learning program. I took classes online through St Joe's as well. Both programs were great if you can make time to do it.
