Freshman walk-on Alexandria Bream #35 lost her father early yesterday morning on what I understand was a routine jog. Teammates say her parents have been to every game and traveled with the team last week. Keep her, her teammates, and her family in your prayers. www.libertyflames.com/wbball/player.asp?player_id=795

I sat behind her mother at the William & Mary game. Really nice family. My prayers go out to them.

Wow, that is really sad news. You guys may not know this but she is the cousin of Sid Bream and of course Sheldon and Theresa who all played sports for Liberty during their college years. Sid went on to play for the Pirates and later the Braves, Sheldon is a sports agent who's wife is an anchor/reporter for Channel 4 in Washington DC and Theresa was one of the all time greatest volleyball players in school history. I am saying a prayer for the family too.

We'll also be praying for the Bream family. A death is tough enough ... but when it is unexpected like this its even more challenging to handle.

Wow. They will be in my prayers. SCAR, I had no idea that she was related to Sid Bream and Shannon Bream of Channel 4. I never would have made the connection of the two.

Shannon Bream is actually related through marriage as she is the former Miss Virginia and I think she was a runner up in Miss America. She married Sheldon. Her maiden name is Depuy.

Im sure the family would appreciate cards and letters of encouragement. Its pretty safe to say Alex is getting a lot of support on her hall as well. If I can get information on where to send sympathy cards and what not I will let you guys know
