Would ask your thoughts and prayers be with my brothers and sisters on the job in Bucks County tonite. We had a shooting in a local hospital ER, resulting in 2 officers and a EMT down, 1 of the officers died as a result of his injuries (head shot).
Officers were attempting a routine blood draw after DUI arrest, suspect obtained the weapon from one of them and emptied the clip.
He was later taken down by one of our SERT teams but by that time we had lost a fine officer. 46 years old, leaves behind a wife and kids.

yeah- its been real quiet on the radio for the last 2 hrs- after a lot of screaming and yelling. It never goes smoothly in these situations, regardless of all our training. I'm working about 10 miles west- my Medic unit was not needed, though we sent several cars (patrol units) over after the assist officer went out. Hoping all those guys are all right- everybody pretty jacked up right now.
REALLY looking forward to getting away for the weekend now, forget about work for a couple of days anyway.

After recently moving from Harrisburg to Chester County, I can tell you the whole community has those involved in our prayers. Terrible story.
