We are still building FlameFans.com but after last night's Proboards crash, I've decided to go ahead and launch the FlameFans boards right away. We have a lot of work to do on the site but it is now open for business: flamefans.comCome on over and register and then let's get this thing started. PS - We have a lot of big things in the works but the bare bones site is a step in the right direction on its own.

OK. Does that mean The Firehouse is closing its doors? Why? Since FLAMESFANS is taken, guess you had to go with FLAMEFANS, instead, but you could have gone with LUFlamesFans.com!

Much thought was given to the new site's name. The more I have thought about title the more I like what we ultimately chose. We may add a couple more URLs but FlameFans.com is going to be our central location and the name for the site.
The Firehouse isn't going anywhere. This site will remain up as long as Proboards wishes. We'll be linking between the two boards. They are not in competition, they are web brothers. Mark Zainea had the vision to start this site and we have flourished ever since. But we have outgrown the limitations of this site and we've gone out on our own. Mark has joined us as a moderator on the new site.
The new site remains very much under construction. We had hoped to wait until we had all the cool new features up & running. But with Proboards crashing on us last night and Big South basketball now in full gear, we decided to go ahead with a soft launch. We will be adding some graphic touches and some new ways for us all to be involved. You will also notice areas for non-sports talk down at the bottom of the forum list in a section I called 'The Fireplace'.
The message board is only going to be a portion of the new site once we have everything operational. But it is now open for business ... just please ignore the construction mess.

For what its worth--I like the idea of the Fireplace and the section for Christian-related discussion. Now, about those first 11 chapters of Genesis... ;D

On one hand, none of us probably thought toms shoes that Stephen Hawking was born in a wheelchair. But as a pop men toms shoes culture figure, his wheelchair and electronic voice are his thing, and against all logic you find it hard to think of him shoes men toms any other way, like how you can't think of Hulk Hogan without the tan and mustache. That canvas mens toms photo up there is from 1965, when a 23-year-old Hawking married Jane Wilde. That was after his diagnosis with ALS, the disease that would put him in the men size toms shoes wheelchair (note the cane). But just a couple mens toms shoes size of years before that, he had no idea he had a degenerative disease -- he was a healthy, active, drinking college student at Oxford: Then, one day he noticed he was having trouble keeping his womens toms shoes hands steady, and once fell down a flight of stairs. Hey, best to go get it checked out, right? Could be, like, an ear infection or something toms classic shoes throwing off his balance. That's when the 21-year-old (now studying for his Ph.D. at Cambridge) was told he'd be bedridden soon, and dead within a few years, a prognosis that is true for almost every ALS patient. Hawking, somehow, toms shoes classic is still alive 50 years after his diagnosis. Jennell Stehle
